Exploring Mar Chiquita with one of my best friends, having deep conversations about life and our past, snorkeling, making memories, and being adopted for the day by a sweet little dog we named Chiquito. 🐶💙 We grabbed fresh quesitos by the beach, and Chiquito even came to say goodbye at our cars. There is no debating Piñones has some of the best casual hang out spots on the island. I love that my pup can come and hangout, and that I can park steps away from the shore. It’s best to come during the week or early morning for a nice spot to yourself. Otherwise the weekends you will be sharing with the crowds, but the vibes are always high 🙌. Plus on your way out, take your pick from all the frituras stands for empanadillas, pinchos, and much more on either side of the road! You can’t miss them! Largest selection for a quick bite.

A month ago I came to Puerto Rico not just for an extended stay, but this time to move here for the rest of the year. It was a big decision. One I didn’t take lightly, and prayed about the decision for a long time. I felt the Lord leading me here. He opened doors providing housing, jobs, a church family, and later on even a little humble car, 2003 KIA Rio, to start to get around in.

After I made the decision to move here from my two month trial in PR, I flew home to officially move out of a home I had lived in many years and close a chapter. In about 4 weeks, I sold household items and my motorcycle, professionally recorded my song I wrote about my divorce, and officially changed my name back to Miranda, my father’s Puerto Rican name just in time for my move back.

It’s been an incredible journey exploring the island, meeting new people, and making memories.

It hasn’t been all smooth sailing though. Life here is a big adjustment. More cleaning, more steps to do ordinary chores, living off less, and navigating complicated government systems.

A pastry job opportunity I planned life around and was excited to pursue, didn’t work out and threw me for a loop. It was gutting and humbling. Making me question what the Lord had for me here. A couple weeks later, God provided more work with the restaurant I originally worked for my initial two months. I’m grateful for His provision!

I felt the Holy Spirit leading me to share my testimony of having courage to step out in faith knowing he holds me fast even when trials come. God is good and faithful.

I’ve been sitting on this song since May 2024, shortly after discovering my ex husband’s adultery that abruptly, or you could say traumatically ended our marriage with betrayal and abandonment. The song wrote itself in minutes transferring my pain to words and then to music. Helping me process the raw emotion, and the reality of my world being upside down. My first song written from the ashes of my broken marriage.

I was devastated for a long time. Without my faith in God anchoring me and a loving family and community, I know my life would’ve fell into chaos. Instead I clung to hope even when my bank account hit zero, saw the world in an entirely new perspective, and took steps of courage towards new goals with faith that the Lord is with me through it all.

My golden birthday year was filled with constant change. 30’s, single, traveling, jobs, new roommate, and the humble beginnings of my own little baking business.

The divorce was long and drawn out, but became official in this past year. And with that I wanted to leave this song in 2025. (I’m a little late, but we’ll count it.)

All Glory to God for seeing me, sustaining me, growing me, healing me, and providing for me 🕊️

Thanks for reading. You’re not alone in your hurt. Onwards to new chapters ahead. ❤️

Campfire, cigars + conversation until the morning, dark treks to the bathroom, smelling like the wild, a blown trailer tire, a leaky boat, an air mattress paddle board + potential kite flying opportunity, games, dogs everywhere = a great Labor Day weekend.

Baking has been my creative outlet since childhood. ✨

With dinner covered, my sweet tooth always pulled me back into the kitchen. I grew up watching my mom pour passion into her ingredients, my abuela cook with soul to bring Puerto Rican flavors + businesses to life, and the women in my family perfect their signature creations for every celebration. That legacy inspired me to follow this craft.

I’ve moved between savory and sweet, even designing a tattoo to honor both sides of the kitchen. 🌿🔪🌾🍴 While food + dessert shaped me, cake design became my timeless craft. What began as a pastime has grown into a micro business built on intention and passion. I care for every detail, pray over each order, and love how an edible piece of art can time-stamp life’s most meaningful moments.

Life’s path isn’t linear, and neither is this business—but every winding turn brings me somewhere I never imagined. Here’s to the journey, and to creating with friends and loved ones along the way. by @ultimatediscboricua
