Yesterday was one of those moments that fills a leader’s heart with gratitude.

Six years ago, Jazmin Lema walked into our world. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of watching her say “yes” again and again to the discipleship process. She completed DGHTRS Leadership Co., served faithfully, remained teachable, embraced feedback, and consistently showed up when nobody was watching. It hasn't always been easy. In fact some parts have been really hard. But hard doesn't mean Gods not in it.

Yesterday, she preached her first full message. What many people see is the moment on the platform. What they don’t see is the process behind it.

The conversations.
The coaching.
The character development.
The serving.
The learning.
The mistakes.
The growth.
The years of faithfulness.

Before Jaz preached this message publicly, she preached it for our staff team first. We gave feedback, she refined it, worked on it, and came back stronger. At History Makers Church, we don’t just hand people a microphone, we help develop people who can faithfully steward one.

Discipleship isn’t fast, but it is fruitful.

Watching Jaz step into this moment was a reminder that the greatest win in ministry is NOT building platforms; it’s BUILDING PEOPLE.

Over the years, Jaz has become much more than someone I’ve poured into, she has become a little sister to me. It has been one of the great honors of my life to pour into her, walk alongside her, encourage her, challenge her, often push her out of her comfort zone 😆and help train her up into all that God has called her to be.

I truly believe Jaz carries a multifaceted gift on her life. This first message is not the destination, it’s the beginning. I believe God is raising her up to be a mighty preacher and communicator of the word of God for the next generation, and it is a joy to have a front-row seat to the work He has been doing in her life.

So proud of you, Jaz! Your faithfulness, humility, teachability, and love for Jesus have prepared you for this moment, and I can’t wait to see all God continues to do through your life. ❤️❤️❤️ by @historymakers.church
