BTS OF SATURDAY!!

Not the biggest party I’ve had, not the most expensive party I’ve had, but by far the most hours I’ve spent shopping, DIYing, decorating, and trial running all the decor before the big day.

Makes it all the more worthwhile seeing it come together in the end 🥹

Missy inspecting all the decorations she’s about to not see because she will be trapped in my parents’ bedroom all night

My fav decor station 🛁

MacKenzie doing an unreal job at my “birthday cake”pumpkin carving

First pumpkin draft. Note: they only last 1 day before mould starts to grow

The mannequin from my 22nd sitting in the garage all year had to be reutilised. No one understands how terrifying it is seeing this 6ft pale woman every time I turn the light on.

Also HR if you’re seeing this, it’s a size 6 shirt which is too small for me and everyone I know

The besttttt purchase. These and the little tea candles were stunning and are probably the only decorations I can reuse for future themes.

Me coming up with the TNT cupboard 1 day before the party and spending the entire morning of the 31st painting white paper red because I ran out of red paper

These fat spiders make my skin crawl to even touch 😖. Couldn’t stick anything to the walls because we are selling the house soon, so using the clock hook to prop this up was genius

My slow and painful process of persuading Mak that dressing as Aladdin was cute, not cringe

Setting up the TNT but forgetting my parents still need all the cupboards to cook for 70 people

Soraya being the most AWESOME help with setting up very late the night before the party, despite not even being able to attend on the day. She’s a natural at events and needs to switch careers.

Front door signage which fell down that many times cos it was so windy that day

MUSE absolutely EATING the Princess Jasmine hair (despite me almost crying in the salon because the ponytail extension was so tight and heavy)

Screamed when I found the ghost soap at Kmart. Will be staying there all year.

Me being devoured by mozzies while painting front door signage. Cardboard stolen from GG

Having faith that my decor will look better at night because it looked terrible durin by @jazzyplannedthat

Who am I and why am I such a freak about events:

2 years ago, I was 3 years into studying my 4-year health-related degree. Unmotivated, barely passing, and certain this was not my forever career.

Approaching Scorpio szn while tackling end of year exams, I would obsessively spend every spare second brainstorming how I can make this year’s birthday party better than the last. By the completion of my third year, I decided to bite the bullet and go against everything my parents and everyone over the age of 40 begged me not to do - drop out 😛.

Six months later, I began a Diploma of Events Management, gaining industry knowledge, hundreds of hours of volunteer experience, and invaluable industry connections.

Now graduated and Eurosummered-out, I am ready to fully immerse myself within the industry and get paid for what I’d be doing for fun anyway!

Next few slides is some of the events I’ve hosted in the past few years featuring my fabulous friends 💓💓

22ND VEGAS THEMED BIRTHDAY ♠️♥️

45pax

- Close up magician (best purchase I’ve ever made)
- Fake-money roulette table
- All-black attire
- DIY Vegas “Little White Chapel”
- Vegas Confessions Board (not featured for professional reasons 😁)
- Suits, red, and black decor

21ST RODEO THEME BIRTHDAY 🤠

130pax

- Inflatable bucking bull (self operated 🫨)
- 2 male topless waiters - very respectful men and helped set up, clean, and pack down on the day
- 60 silent disco headsets with 3 stations of my playlists - edm, club, and girly tunes
- Theming included: hay bales as seating, light-up 21 signage, fairy lights, rodeo theme pool toys, rodeo banners, party set on an acreage with farm animals, conversation pit, themed tattoos (always a hit)

The drunk-to-sober ratio was unreal. I don’t think I’ll ever top this party until I get married

20TH BOAT PARTY🛥️🌞

118pax

Firstly shout-out to the GORGEOUS weather which had half the guests in the water at the swim stop
- Not much theming, just vibes
- 300 piece macaron tower birthday cake which was polished in under 2 minutes
- Front deck for photos/conversation, inside room for baggage and speeches, and back deck for dancing

‘24 GALENTINES PICNIC 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩🫶
