Black tie weddings have long been our favorite to photograph. There’s something about the crisp structure of a white dinner jacket, the sharp contrast of a bowtie, and the way evening light dances off silk lapels that feels like visual poetry. When the setting is just right, an historic estate, candlelit tables, and a couple with an eye for timeless details. it becomes a canvas that brings out the very best in our lenses. @kevinlove and @katelove the perfect portrait of this elegance✨ by @jcastilloweddings
“Just said ‘I do’ at the iconic @gramercyparkhotel ✨ because nothing beats a spontaneous New York wedding! A city full of magic, a love story written in the moment. 🖤✨ #JustSaidIDo #SpontaneousVows #GramercyMagic #TheWed” by @jcastilloweddings
Central Park to Turks & Caicos✨ Kathryn & Alec’s story began with an engagement session in the city and found its way to the water at @theshoreclubtc The setting was beautiful, but it was never the point. What stayed with us was how they moved through the weekend: unhurried, present, completely themselves. The most memorable celebrations aren’t built on trends or timelines. They’re built on people. A glimpse into their wedding weekend, and the start of something new. Kathryn & Alec, thank you for letting us tell your story 🥂 by @jcastilloweddings
A little New York, a little Montauk, and a night that felt entirely like Bruna & Max. ✨ After traveling the world looking for the perfect place to celebrate, they found their way back to the city that had always felt like home. Jean’s set the scene for red carpets, paparazzi, martinis, vows woven into speeches, a few happy tears, and a dance floor that carried the night well past midnight. Nothing felt overly planned. Nothing felt ordinary. Just a room full of people, a love worth celebrating, and a night that could only belong to them. Congratulations, Bruna & Max! 🥂 #newyorkwedding #newyorkweddingphotographer #newyorkcity #theartofstorytelling #engaged by @jcastilloweddings
Today’s wedding feature: Justina & Peter in New York City✨ The story began at The @sohograndhotel where the morning unfolded in anticipation, surrounded by the quiet exchanges and fleeting moments that make a wedding day feel so personal. As the day gave way to evening, the celebration continued at @tribecarooftopand360 with Manhattan as its backdrop and the two of them at the heart of it all. From the intimacy of getting ready to the energy of the celebration, every part of the day carried its own rhythm. This same-day highlight offers a first look at their story, captured and shared while the city was still buzzing from the night. Congratulations, Justina & Peter. A beautiful New York beginning to a chapter that is entirely yours. 🥂 #newyorkwedding #newyorkweddingphotographer #newyorkcity #theartofstorytelling #engaged by @jcastilloweddings
A little bit of New York, a little bit of Montauk, and a whole lot of Bruna & Max✨ For a couple who traveled the world looking for a place to celebrate, they came back to the city that had always felt like home. Jean’s became the setting, red carpets, paparazzi, martinis, vows shared as speeches, a few tears, a lot of laughter, and a dance floor that carried the night well past midnight. We wanted to remember it as it felt. Shot on Super 8mm — the grain, the movement, the imperfect frames and all the little moments in between. A wedding that never really felt like a wedding, but entirely like them. Congratulations Bruna & Max!🥂 #newyorkwedding #newyorkweddingphotographer #newyorkcity #theartofstorytelling #engaged by @jcastilloweddings
Erin & Marcus at The Mansion at Glen Cove ✨ An evening filled with intimacy, genuine emotion, and the kind of moments that don’t need to be directed. A few sneak peeks from Erin & Marcus beautiful celebration last night at The Mansion at Glen Cove. More than anything, we’re grateful for their kindness, their generosity, and the friendship that grew throughout the day. There’s something incredibly special when our clients become more than clients, when, somewhere along the way, they begin to feel like family. This is the kind of work we want to continue creating: real moments, honest connection, and a sense of artistry that feels true to the people at the center of it all. Congratulations, Erin & Marcus🥂Thank you for allowing us to be part of such a meaningful chapter. 🤍 #newyorkcitywedding #newyorkcityphotogtapher #newyorkcity #newyorkcityweddingphotography by @jcastilloweddings
Brooklyn has become a natural home for couples who value intention over excess✨ those drawn to celebrations that feel elevated, stylish, and deeply personal. Darren and Leslie’s wedding at 501 Union embodied exactly that. Set against the quiet grit and warmth of one of Brooklyn’s most beloved spaces, their day felt modern yet timeless, intimate yet unmistakably cool. Our work is shaped by a love for fashion, cinema, and real human connection. Those influences guide how we see light, movement, and emotion, allowing us to tell stories that feel cinematic without ever feeling staged. by @jcastilloweddings
Our approach to every wedding🫶 We keep things simple: we show up fully present and focused on what matters most to you. Our goal is to make the experience comfortable and natural. We guide when needed, step back when the moment speaks for itself, and stay attentive to the details and interactions that shape your day. The imagery we create is honest and intentional a reflection of your relationship, your families, and the real energy of the celebration. by @jcastilloweddings
Meet the Artist — John Castillo is a world travelled creative whose work gracefully bridges the realms of fashion and heartfelt celebrations. With over 15 years as a creative director and photographer, his journey has taken him from the runways and studios of New York City to sunlit wedding aisles in the most beautiful corners of the world. What sets John apart is his ability to bring the artistry and precision of editorial photography into the intimate world of weddings. Years of working on high-profile campaigns have trained his eye to see light in its most flattering form, to adapt seamlessly in high-pressure moments, and to direct with both confidence and grace. On a wedding day, this means every fleeting glance, every shimmer of laughter, and every quiet in-between moment is elevated into something cinematic, without ever losing its authenticity. For John, a wedding is more than a day, it is a living day of emotions, beauty, and connection. Every frame is intentional, every image a chapter in a story meant to be treasured for generations. These are the photographs your grandchildren will hold one day, smiling through tears, knowing they are part of something meaningful and enduring. by @jcastilloweddings
What if your wedding wasn’t just a day but a grand, visual love letter to your story? The kind of celebration that feels like stepping into an editorial spread, where every detail is intentional, every moment thoughtfully designed. Today’s modern weddings are less about tradition for tradition’s sake and more about creating an experience, one that looks as stunning as it feels. Think: fashion-forward attire, layered lighting, sculptural florals, and a setting that speaks your language. Designing with visuals in mind isn’t about excess, it’s about crafting a mood, telling your story through color, texture, and space. The goal? A celebration that’s both meaningful and magnetic. Make it grand, make it personal, and let your day unfold like the dreamiest feature in your favorite magazine because that’s exactly what it should be✨ by @jcastilloweddings
