Jordan Collins Performance is where researched-backed science and the art of coaching meet. ✅ Private Training: 1-1 individual optimization. A training system built for each individual, taking into account their sport/lifestyle, strengths, weaknesses and previous injury history. KPIs tested and tracked using top of the line technology, such as @1080motion ✅ Consulting: Individual or team/club wide athletic performance assessment. Jump profile + speed + deceleration + change of direction testing. Each athlete receives a report discussing what each athlete does well, can improve upon and recommended next steps. ✅ Education: For coaches and trainers wanting to enhance their business & training system. Follow along how to build a private training business & create your performance programs. Private or full organization upon request. ✅ Online Programs: Not in South Florida? Multiple programs are available for purchase on @trainheroic . RED2 is a movement based program for long term health & Mad Science is a brutally tough Olympic weight lifting + fat loss program. As always, many thanks to all the JC Performance partners & affiliates that help optimize athletic performance. . . . . . . . . . 🎥: @jhmp_ #sportsperformance #strengthandconditioning #speedtraining #soccertraining #fortlauderdale by @jcollinsperformance
South Florida… we’re back. Every chapter has its purpose. Nashville challenged me, sharpened me, and added layers I didn’t know I needed. This next move brings me back home — better. In exactly one month, I’ll be returning to Fort Lauderdale and reopening my work across South Florida — Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Deerfield, and Boca. Athletes. Business professionals. High performers. If you’re serious about your body, your performance, your health and how you move — I’m here. Limited private and small group availability now open. The 8 vector hop is one of my staples to help teach landing mechanics and develop tissue tolerance for change of direction. This is a deceiving hard drill that will likely show asymmetry issues between legs… a great diagnostic tool while coaching. The key is plenty of practice and proper cueing of what the coach is and is not looking. Here is a live rep from one of my college soccer athletes. . . . . . . . . . . . . 🎥: @jhmp_ #sportsperformance #strengthandconditioning #miami #speed #speedtraining #agility #agilitytraining #speedandagility #athlete #atheltics #sports #injuryprevention #strengthtraining #explosivetraining #strengthcoach #athletedevelopment #designdistrict #strength #plyometrics #plyometricstraining #soccer #soccertraining by @jcollinsperformance
Building an athlete requires a ton of complexity, balancing science and the art of coaching at every turn. Everything starts from a baseline assessment to see “who” the athlete is and how they move. Of course, this is where the fun begins trying to pinpoint their strategies, super powers and kryptonite. Oliver and I go way back, working together years ago to heal injuries and now to enhance his athleticism as a professional soccer player. The journey has started, but the true fun is building the process behind success. Want to become a better athlete but no idea where to start? Or are you trying to improve speed but seem to be going nowhere? Well, first thing is to figure out your strengths and weaknesses. Each athlete will have a unique set of skills and movement patterns and a full performance assessment can help shine light on where athlete excel, but also where they can improve. Every athlete I see will go through the same assessment utilizing @1080motion & @hawkindynamics so we have a proper baseline and guide on how to individualize training. The best ability is availability This has been my biggest takeaway over the last few years dealing with my pro athletes. A younger version of me sought after trying to have the strongest and fastest athletes. Now don’t get me wrong, we all strive to be strong and fast, but not at the expense of our health and availability. The name of the game is resiliency and the ability to participate. The best athletes in the world are NOT the best if they can’t play right? My focus has moved to more finite details and focusing on the “little things” such as intrinsic foot control or our quality of sleep. A wider scope has helped make better decisions, keeping my athletes in the green and ready to go. NFL offseason prep starts now, DM for more details. . . . . . . . . . . . . 🎥: @jhmp_ #sportsperformance #strengthandconditioning #health #injury #fortlauderdale by @jcollinsperformance
Installing drop catches & upper body plyometrics is a must, especially for overhead athletes. . . . . . . . . 🎥: @jhmp_ #sportsperformance #strengthandconditioning #tennis #tennistraining #fortlauderdale by @jcollinsperformance
Just a bit of some Friday force plate chat. I’m always looking to drive intent with my athletes, so what’s the best way? That’s EASY. Competition. Provide a competitive environment where athletes can challenge each other and watch talents rise. It’s pretty simple, no athlete wants to lose (no matter what they’ll say). Having leaderboards of force plate metrics displayed is a super simple way to push the envelope and raise intent. . . . . . . . . . 🎥: @jhmp_ #sportsperformance #strengthandconditioning #athlete #youthathletes #fortlauderdale by @jcollinsperformance
@1080motion Decel Prep Circuit A1) Hop, hop, stick A2) 3 step jab The real power from the 1080 is the ability to overload the system for decel & change of direction WHILE having the quality data to support. . . . . . . . . 🎥: @jhmp_ #sportsperformance #strengthandconditioning #speed #football #injuryprevention by @jcollinsperformance
What an athlete produces matters. I take the athlete through a comprehensive, multi-faceted performance assessment designed to identify strengths, limitations, and opportunities for improvement. Our testing process includes: • Countermovement Jump (Force Plates): Measures lower-body power and neuromuscular performance. • Force–Velocity Profile: Evaluates acceleration capabilities, sprint mechanics, and potential areas of inefficiency. • Acceleration–Deceleration Ability (ADA): Measures the athlete’s ability to rapidly decelerate and come to a complete stop. • 5-0-5 Change of Direction: Evaluates acceleration, braking efficiency, and the ability to rapidly reaccelerate in a new direction. All sprinting, deceleration, and change-of-direction assessments are performed using the @1080motion Sprint 2, an advanced resistance and testing system typically found in elite collegiate and professional performance environments. The entire assessment takes approximately 60 minutes. Following testing, I analyze the data and build an individualized Athlete Performance Profile, highlighting key strengths, areas for improvement, and targeted training recommendations. The goal is simple: Take the guesswork out of training and use objective data to drive performance.
