It’s been about a month now and although I’m not fully okay yet, I’ve gotten better about coming to terms with it…I think. Last month after Christmas I lost one the most important people in my life. I find peace in knowing that she’s free but selfishly I have moments where I wish she was still here. She was one the very few that truly understood me and the way I think. She loved my music career seemingly almost more than I did at times and she always knew the right thing to stay to keep me pushing and giving it my all. Now that it’s gone everything feels…different. In a way I can’t explain. But she’s left me with so much knowledge and strength that I’ll know how to figure this out. How to be stronger from this. Nana, I miss you deeply already. I’ve taken my month though and now I’m back hitting the ground running like I know you would want me to. I’m gonna make you proud. I’m gonna make you all proud 💜🤍 by @jd_music25
This year was definitely one for the books. I made a lot of sacrifices last year and really started to bet on/believe in myself more and God blessed me immensely. Had a rocky finish but overall I can say this is the first good year I’ve had in a long time. Thank you to all of my friends (old and new) and family that played a part in this year. There were so many photos to choose from but huge shout out to the amazing photographers that got these dope action shots. They’re all tagged please hit them up! I’m really excited for what’s to come next year! I’ve been fussed at by a lot of you about posting so my New Year’s resolution is to post more lol #newyear #FrumpStrong #music #jazz #jazzsaxophone #selmer #selmerparis #selmerseries2 #austin #austintx #texas #musician #altosax #saxophone by @jd_music25
