It’s bigger than the stages. It’s about what the sound represents. 8 years of Gowtu, carrying Surinamese 🇸🇷music into new spaces.

Reflecting on its impact at ADE Beats ‘26.

Special thanks to @saulvanstapele & @conskieta, @angelobromet, Tante Kana & @shaq.sr by @jefthage

Special thanks @saulvanstapele @conskieta

The Surinamese sound continues to grow, reaching new audiences and gaining recognition beyond its own community.

During ADE Beats, Gowtu brings the story behind this movement to the forefront. From Maroon influences rooted in Suriname’s interior and artists selling out major venues, to exploring how the music industry can continue to grow alongside this movement.

On October 24, we’ll come together to discuss this during Gowtu: Elevating the Sound of Surinam at Felix Meritis in Amsterdam 🙏🏿🇸🇷. by @jefthage

Op 24 oktober gaan we hierover in gesprek tijdens Gowtu: Elevating the Sound of Surinam in Felix Meritis. by @jefthage

@jefthage is building bridges between Suriname and Amsterdam.

A new production between YoungBoss and YXNGLE.

This is bigger than events. We’re building platforms, creating opportunities, and taking the Suriname sound to the next level. building a brighter future for the next generation.

After 8 years, our journey to give Surinamese artists the stage they deserve continues🇸🇷.

From sold-out shows with Kater Karma, Psycho, Badderman, and Passion, we’ve been proud to help grow the Surinamese sound in the Netherlands and bring it to bigger stages.

Now it’s time for another special moment.

For the past eight years, we’ve been pushing Surinamese artists and the Surinamese sound🇸🇷 to new heights. We saw the vision early and played our part in helping build this movement and taking it further.

That’s why we’re proud to see the sound grow, reach more people, and get the recognition it deserves. We’re proud to contribute to that in our own way. A sold-out Paradiso with one of Suriname’s biggest artists is a powerful reminder of how far this journey has come. Raw. From the ground up to the top.

Big thanks to everyone who believed in the vision and helped us reach this level every supporter, partner, and organization along the way. Got to love @charityreingoud productions & @prospect_eleven 🫡.

We’re not stopping here. More is coming.

Next up: GOWTU 8 Year Anniversary on Saturday, April 18, at Bitterzoet Amsterdam, powered by Melkweg Amsterdam. A moment to celebrate the journey, the growth, and everything still ahead.

Limited tickets.
