“…I did a lot, but I ain’t did enough, so I put it all on the line…” 🌅🖤🦁 by @jelani.73
I don’t think I’ve ever lost someone this close to me before. I feel angry, sad, helpless, and hopeless. But I also feel joy, happiness, and satisfaction because I know your not suffering anymore. I don’t understand why this is happening now, or what I should do next, but I know you will help guide me as my ancestor now. I know I wasn’t always the best child/grandchild. I thank you for being patient with me and teaching myself and Jabari virtually everything you could about life. We gonna hold it down, and try to make you proud. You were my grandfather, my father, my warden, my therapist, and my best-friend. You were the best role model a young man could have, and I am so grateful to have spend a 3rd of those 9 decades learning from you. THANK YOU POPPOP!!!! I got my first Angel!!! #ripdagoat 🥲🥲🙏🏿🙏🏿🕊️🕊️ by @jelani.73
