Pure, heavy, unfiltered talent🔥

when you’re an absolute powerhouse producer spinning your some of your own heavy, custom-built tracks, you’re just in a completely different league🔥

We brought @_i.am.a.goddess out to Kampala for a special set @villagekla

Watching her command the room with her gqom set and a live drummer — @kigongo_eric was something unforgettable💚

A massive thank you to our @nyegenyegefest family for making this possible. From our collective’s debut at Nyege Nyege 10th Anniversary to bringing heavy-hitters like Goddess into the Kampala scene, this pipeline keeps growing🙏🏾🇺🇬🇰🇪✨

We’re bringing this one back 🔊

Last year at @nyegenyegefest , the @skateandsound_collective X @melaningalsnpals brought our sound to Uganda and these moments still feel as good as they did that day🔥🔥

Our DJs took over the decks, the crowd showed up, and what started as a collaboration between skate, sound and community became one of our favourite moments of 2025💚

This set is a little reminder of what happens when we create space for our communities to show up fully.

Big love to the Nyege Nyege team for giving us the space to build, play and connect 🇺🇬💚

Catch this week’s Skate & Sound Collective Live Session at Studio CanV 🎧

@antonateaiko & @binti.wa.kawaida are taking us on a musical journey from 4–7PM, this Saturday 29th August

Both artists came through SPINLAB, our DJ skills and artist development programme creating opportunities for women to build practical skills, gain experience and move towards real creative opportunities.

They’re now part of the wider @skateandsound_collective , where music, skateboarding and emerging talent come together.

Come catch them live, or watch the set later on YouTube and vibe with us💚🛹🎶 taken in Nairobi, Kenya by @girlskate_nairobi

Mama Aminah is taking the decks at the Jägermeister Nairobi Skate Jam🔥🛹🎧

She’s a DJ, skater, SPINLAB facilitator (DJing trainer) and proud member of the Skate & Sound Collective — a community we’re building at the intersection of skateboarding, music and emerging creative talent.

From training and workshops to practice sessions and real stages, we’re creating more ways for artists and skaters to learn, connect, collaborate and get seen.

Proud to see one of our own taking up space💚

Come catch @mama__aminah at the Skate Jam this Saturday 3-4PM at The Mall Rooftop🎊

Big love to @jalgua for opening the doors and giving emerging artists a space to do their thing💚

This is the kind of culture we want to see more of — emerging artists getting access, taking up space and growing with their community🙌🏾✨
