Over and over and over, through various seasons of life, I thought becoming someone new meant having to leave parts of myself behind.

But with growing wisdom, clarity, and—let’s be real—courage, I learned it’s more like meeting the parts of me that were always there but didn’t have room to speak.

The life I want might require me to be braver, softer, more honest, less afraid of disappointing people, more willing to be a beginner.

I don’t know exactly who she is yet.

I do know, however, I am absolutely willing to go meet her.

So maybe somewhere in between who I was and who I’m becoming are a thousand voices that need to be heard.

I’m ready to listen. ❤️

As an extraordinarily active person, used to think “calm down” was always the goal.

But now, sitting in the middle of life, of recovery, of intentional progress, I’m wondering if sometimes the goal is simply somewhere for the energy to go.

And maybe that’s part of what “somewhere in between” actually means.

Not having the answer yet—but being willing to listen to the information your body is giving you.

And do life TOGETHER. ❤️

Last week kicked my butt!! Many very early mornings, train rides, subways, photo shoots, Pilates classes and my fave, teaching dance @92ndstreety. My mental, artistic and energetic boundaries were tested and finally today, Sunday, rest.
.
Let’s go again 😉😘

Recovery is not linear, there are some days or weeks that don’t feel so good. BUT getting to a place KNOWING the dark will pass as long as I choose to feel the feels, have faith in the process and gratitude for the support around me is better than the best day operating from a distorted, disordered reality. I am SO SO GRATEFUL for the opportunities before me, for the chance to keep living an authentic life and to step one foot at a time forward into a structured Identity.

Also, I just truly love what I do and that I get to keep doing it. 💖

These gorgeous Dancers have stirred up so much in me this week. Grateful for what’s come before, excited for what’s to come next. There is a spirit to ballet that is constant, and an evolution of innovation that keeps up moving forward in creativity.

When you’re walking your Pup on a 90 degree day and GET THE CALL… to head out immediately to Bushwick for an ESS. An Emergency Styling Situation.
.
Call answered. Situation Handled.
.
In all seriousness, I am stupid blessed to have a calling. Maybe one of many, but finally have an appreciation that took two decades to find for this one. I sure am here to answer that call in a New York Minute. ❤️❤️❤️
