Audiences are really liking “Friendliest.” Even comparing it to Fleabag…. But what’s most important is that they’re liking the way I look….. thank God. Summer in Edinburgh is feeling like…. Forever. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 🚬

Book Club Summer Camp 🏕️☀️📚

This gaggle of Hallies and Annies headed upstate for a Parent Trap-esque weekend.

📖 We read Wide Sargasso Sea by Jean Rhys. At its simplest, Wide Sargasso Sea is to Jane Eyre as The Hours is to Mrs. Dalloway or James is to Huck Finn. YES, we recommend.
Up Next: The Lost Daughter by Elena Ferrante

A bold and hilarious new theatre show about creating the world’s first gay superhero, “Friendliest” crashes into the Edinburgh Fringe this year. Acclaimed American comedian Drew Lausch (SHOWTIME, PRIME VIDEO) blends sharp stand-up with raw, unfiltered storytelling as he explores queerness, guilt and small-town life on a mission to save himself, superhero style.

Tickets on Sale for ”Friendliest” at @gildedballoon now!
August 5-31 (not 18 💋) at 18:00.

a few moments from a big, big year ✨

some things i did worth remembering, some pictured, some not:
- hiked at sunrise to an oasis in joshua tree
- got a car & dog & tattoo in 2 week span
- one more time for the dog thing, bc baby girl has completely changed my life 🥹
- surprised my best friend for her son’s 1st birthday
- canvassed for a candidate i believed in for the primaries & got to watch him sweep both that & the general
- worked!! inc. for 36 hours straight on my birthday 🫠 & dealt with a lot of burnout!
- directed music videos & 1-man shows & plays & reconnected w my artistry through both big + small practices
- my production company @angelbabybk grew in ways i could never imagine and someday i’ll document that better but thank you brands we love u brands !
- went on an @echolocationnyc retreat and brought to life our most ambitious project yet (shoutout dying light team & our hosts at the nest)
- was quoted in one of my oldest friend’s best man speech for one of our even older friends’ wedding
- jumped out of a mf plane!!!
- didn’t take enough pictures (i never do)
- showed up for my people & grew the best i could 🩵

this year made me an adult in so many ways. here’s to leading with joy in the new year ✨ i love you all 🦋 by @jennylion
