It’s amazing how time works. January 2020 I started the year off with doing strictly mobility for the entire month due to a back injury.

I ended 2020 with some PRs after only 4 months of corrective work with @islandrehabhub . Can’t wait to keep on getting better. Happy 2021!!

These videos was taken before Christmas. During the holidays I decided to take some time off of Social Media to reset!

Swipe left to see my 1 max reps and new PRs:

Deadlift: 335lbs
Back Squat: 315lbs
Flat press: 255lbs
Strict Press: 155lbs

Working with @thecat6167 I lifted to my technical threshold. Controlling my ego to not lift more, which i prob could have but would have lost my technique. My goal is performance to supplement my boxing and Muay Thai Practice!!

What can martial arts teach us about discipline, resilience, and personal growth?

This Friday, Pecha Kucha Bermuda brings another powerful story to the stage with presenter Jeron Gunness, sharing “How Muay Thai Influenced My Life!”

In this inspiring talk, Jeron reflects on discovering martial arts in his early teens and how Muay Thai became a powerful outlet for channeling emotions in a positive and disciplined way.

What began as a pursuit of the sport professionally soon evolved into a deeper purpose — teaching and mentoring others.

🥊 In this presentation, Jeron will share:
💥 How martial arts shaped his mindset and life direction
🧠 The role of discipline and focus in personal development
👥 The impact of teaching students from ages 8 to 75+
🔥 Why Muay Thai can be a powerful tool for growth both physically and mentally

Through years of training and teaching, Jeron has helped people of all ages discover confidence, resilience, and inner strength through martial arts.

OPERATION KEYSTONE: PROTECTOR SUMMIT (SEPT 26–27)

The Founders Inn and Spa, Tapestry Collection by Hilton
5641 Indian River Road Virginia Beach, Virginia 23464 USA

Heroes are protectors. Always have been.

The Wolfpack Initiative exists because we still believe in heroes.
Not the loud kind. Not the perfect kind.
The rare kind—men and women who choose responsibility when it would be easier to look away.

That belief is why @buckgrant became fascinated with wolves.

When wolves were wiped out of Yellowstone, things didn’t just “change.”
They unraveled.

Elk surged. Land got stripped. Riverbanks collapsed. Streams went shallow.
Fish disappeared. Songbirds went quiet.
The smaller and weaker got hunted down by unchecked predators.

Chaos doesn’t always arrive with a bang.
Sometimes it arrives by inches—until the whole system starts to fail.

But when the wolves returned… everything shifted.
Not through speeches. Not through force.
Through presence.

The wolves changed behavior.
They shifted movement.
They restored balance.

And slowly—life came back.

That’s what Operation Keystone is about.

Keystone Protectors.
Wolves of humanity.
Protectors whose stabilizing presence restores order where disorder is spreading.

And here’s the part most people miss:

“Every man—everyone—a WOLF.”
That means everyone plays a role.
Civilian. LEO. Military. Protector in training. Protector by nature.
If you feel the call to be a stabilizing force in this world—you’re welcome here.

For this summit, we’ve brought together CADRE ONE—
7 of our best instructors—to teach across ranges, contexts, and realities…
and to remind you of the power you carry when you stand like a protector.

Because the world feels like it’s falling apart in front of us.
And waiting for someone else to fix it is a dead end.

So here’s the truth—grounded, simple, and real:

We can be the heroes we’ve been waiting for.
Not someday. Now.

Nothing prophetic to say. Just raw, uncut training footage of how we do nearly ALL of our training.

All live. All of the time.

3 points of focus (Combat Invariants)
1. Asymmetric pressure (two hand on one hand)
2. Fight to the outside line (defined by being behind the elbow/ recycling mechanism of the blade.)
3. Exit Zero Dark ( from behind both elbows while destabilizing the opponent.)

Bad guy—do the opposite. Fighting is a zero sum game.

Give them a task, and let the wolves hunt.

The best piece of wisdom, if that’s what you’re looking for, is at the very end. 😉🐺🙏🏽

The Lone Wolf Initiation starts at the end of April. Selection training begins NOW. DM me to be Initiated.

Experience over Exposure.

Experience is the only real teacher, which is why we rarely “drill” anything in the Wolfpack Initiative. All of our training is live, yet constrained to afford skill. Protectors are given a task which focuses their attention and intention to achieve an objective. It is done with resistance because in the skill of combat, the enemy always has a vote.

And…

Exposure, the discussion and exploration of possibilities, is one of many methods used for skill acquisition. Dry runs once or twice with little or no resistance exposes Protectors to new ideas during live training and MAY have some carryover to application.

We love our fellow CLA (constraints led approach) and ecological dynamic nerds. 🤓 Nothing we do however is dogmatic, because we are not a church. There is no “one way” to train. That is a belief, and belief’s die at first contact with the enemy.

However… high rep ”drilling,” or decontextualized static movement, mimicking ideal “form” is still dumb. 😉 🙏🏽 Watch the live training at the end and you will see that “technique” is a lie, and a fight for your life will NEVER look like static drilling. The enemy has a vote. Skill has to represent that vote.

Guide behavior, expose new ideas briefly, but most importantly…LET THE WOLVES HUNT.

If I hear one more “tactical” or “self defense” coach ask me “Why are you doing so much ‘wrestling’ for self-defense…I’m going to make them wrestle me…
“The enemy has a vote. Skill training must represent that vote.”
