“Personally, I’m like, ‘What the hell did I do on holidays before there were breweries?’”

While at Grainstock, we sat down with Oisín Sweeney, head brewer and co-founder of Jervis Bay Brewing Co.

We trace Oisín’s story back to his first experiences of the NSW South Coast as a backpacker, the brewery’s origin story on the touchlines of junior sports pitches, and the way in which brewer and brewery have evolved since they poured their first beers four months before COVID shut down the country.

Will and James also review the week’s news, including our feature on mixed culture specialists @cbbc.beer, @hobartbrewingco’snew home, and the latest on a trio of upcoming festivals: Pint of Origin, @craftedfestival and @gabsfestival.

Jervis Bay Brewing Co - Now available in Australia and International!
Couldn’t be more stoked to be spreading a little bit of Jervis Bay to the rest of the world 🌍
Watch this space 🤗 by @jervisbaybrewing_co

Can’t get enough! 🤤❤️

Some partnerships just work, and the crew at @5littlepigs are a pretty special part of the Jervis Bay Brewing Co experience. Always cooking up a storm in their onsite food truck, they keep things fresh with seasonal menus and plenty of delicious reasons to come back for more. 😍

Good beer, great food and even better company. We reckon that’s a pretty good recipe for a good time! 🍻🍔 by @jervisbaybrewing_co

Today we’re heading out with our mates @woebegone_dive .
For the latest Days in the Bay, Dylan and Lara took us beyond Point Perpendicular to see a side of Jervis Bay (or let’s face it, the world!) that most of us don’t get to experience.
They run Woebegone Dive together, often with their son Leon in tow, sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm for everything happening above and below the surface.
Jervis Bay is Australia’s deepest harbour and eight times the size of Sydney Harbour, with sandstone cliffs, caves, marine mammals, seabirds and some seriously big fish, (and Us) all calling it home. And it’s all literally just five minutes from our other home, the taproom.
Come and enjoy a little taste of our place.

Getting married? Why not keep the celebrations as relaxed as the rest of your relationship? From pre-wedding catch-ups and post-wedding parties to laid-back celebrations with your favourite people, the brewery is all about good beer, good food and good times.
Just a fun, relaxed space to celebrate your way. 🍺✨

Woohoo!! 🍻 We’re so proud to be back in the running for the NSW Tourism Awards!
Being recognised alongside so many incredible businesses is something we don’t take for granted. We’re passionate about what we do here at Jervis Bay Brewing Co, and it means a lot to be part of a community full of people who work hard to make our region such a special place to visit.
A big congratulations to our fellow finalists:

We’re stoked to be in such good company and wish everyone the very best of luck! 💛 by @jervisbaybrewing_co

Australia’s deepest harbour. Eight times the size of Sydney Harbour. And still plenty of locals we haven’t met.
For the next Days in the Bay, we went exploring with Dylan and Lara @woebegone_dive and headed out beyond Point Perpendicular to explore another side of the place we call home.
Dylan and Lara spend their days sharing the Bay’s stunning, underwater world with their guests. They took us past the towering sandstone cliffs and caves of Pt Perp. and then below the surface for a swim with the seals.
Bucket-list material gets thrown around a bit. This one earns it.

Our charity of the month is National Parks Association of NSW 🌿
This month, we’re proud to support the National Parks Association of NSW (NPA) — a member-based conservation organisation working to protect, conserve and restore the incredible natural places we’re lucky enough to call home.
Since 1957, NPA has played a part in protecting some of NSW’s most iconic landscapes, while connecting communities with nature through bushwalking, conservation, research and education.
From the forests to the coastline, their work helps keep our wild places wild for generations to come. 🌊🌿
We’re stoked to support an organisation that shares our love for the outdoors and our local environment.
Cheers to protecting the places we love! 🍻🌏

Jervis Bay is Australia’s deepest harbour and eight times the size of Sydney Harbour and it’s on our doorstep. Like, it’s right there, just waiting for us.
For the next Days in the Bay, we headed out with Dylan, Lara, and crew from @woebegone_dive to explore the sandstone cliffs, caves and marine life beyond Point Perpendicular.
Then the seals turned up and completely stole the show. Come and have a taste of this incredible place we call home.
