Little clip from 'Danse' by Dirk-Michael Kirsch, from the Masters recital. This piece was written for oboe but works super well on clarinet (even better maybe 😜) Very fun and very challenging by @jesclarinet
Concert in Hamburg? Play in Lufthansa Hangar 5, not that weird elbphilharmonie place. Super fun tour with the Nils Landgren and the Swedish Radio to finish the summer and start the season! by @jesclarinet
Was a pleasure to play with this quintet in Sandvikens Kammermusik Festival, this year celebrating their 40th anniversary! by @jesclarinet
Some musical highlights from my last semester at KMH. 1. New headshots 📸 2. Swedish Radio gig! 3. Chamber with friends :)) 4. Puccini and much more with Kungliga Operan 5. Audition in Finland 🙂 6. Audition in Norway 🙃 7. More chamber with friends :)) 8. Last minute Tosca with Folk Operan 9. Marching for Norwegian King!? 10. Playing for the Swedish King!? 11. KMH orchestra with the best section 12. Examenskonsert All this plus writing a thesis, pretty proud of myself for the last 6 months. Lots of hard work, fun times and memories created. by @jesclarinet
Masters Recital finished!! So grateful to the amazing musicians that performed with me in this concert ❤️ and to everyone that came and listened - I had a great time playing these energetic silly tunes Also huuuuuuuuge thanks to @neil_thebassplayer for the photos, go check him out. by @jesclarinet
I bought a bass! This is such a beautiful and well made instrument from @backunmusical (with a nice and compact case from @marcusbonnacases as an added bonus). It's super easy blowing and has the tick of approval from the fine musicians at the Kungliga Operan. It's been great fun playing so much bass this year to date, and I'm really looking forward to being able to play my own instrument going forward. Lots of fun music to come 😎 by @jesclarinet

Der Ferne Klang with Kungliga Operan! Having a great time working with this incredible group at the moment, excited for more to come! by @jesclarinet
Not often you have 6 clarinets in the same piece! Fun program and fun week playing with these lovely humans ❤️ by @jesclarinet
Kotka was stunning but unfortunately no jobs were won. Silver lining is that I'm perhaps lucky that I didn't end up permanently living in a small Finnish city near the Russian border 😅 Auditions are so incredible exhausting, and although I'm grateful to have at least made the second round today and to be getting (relatively) consistently close with each audition, it's still disappointing nonetheless. It takes so much mental energy, money and time to prepare and do these damn things, and to pick yourself up and then do it all again for another one a few months later. Ahh well, onto the next one I guess 🤪🥲 Not used to being active on an Instagram and wasn't sure if I should post this but thought maybe it might be interesting. by @jesclarinet
Happens to the best of us 🥲🥲🥲 I swabbed through approximately 1 million times before this concert by @jesclarinet
