The time change is never easy, however it is less challenging when you lean in rather than resist.

When the days get shorter is my favorite time to pull out all the twinkle lights and all the candles. Making your home a cozy place when it’s dark can bring comfort and safety. It can create memories of warmth and love around the time change rather than just dread.

Lean into comfort with warm drinks in the evening. As you’re drinking it savor the smells and notice the warmth of the mug in your hands. Don’t rush.

Tis the season for soup! There’s nothing like enjoying a steamy bowl of soup around the table with your favorite people.

Lastly make sure you are taking care of your heart Mom. This season can get very busy very quickly with the holidays coming, but I encourage you to give yourself permission to slow down and notice what your heart needs.

If you need a little help with that I have created a FREE reset just for you. The good news is that it just takes 5 minutes and will bring peace to your heart when things feel a bit overstimulating. Comment “mom” and I’ll send it your way!

Motherhood is challenging, the time change makes it more challenging, and I want to support you through this! 💛
Send to a mom friend who needs this!

Who needs to hear this? 🙋🏻‍♀️

When I was a young mom I thought that hard days meant I wasn’t doing a good job. Hard days meant I wasn’t trying hard enough. Hard days meant… I wasn’t good enough. Even typing that, my body remembers that feeling inside- yikes!

Over the years I’ve learned that hard days are just a part of life- not an identity statement.

Hard days mean that we are human, and honestly- without the hard days we would never know the sweetness of a beautiful, wonderful day!

The same goes for sad. I had to make a challenging decision recently and it was really sad. Just because it’s sad, doesn’t mean it was a bad decision. It just means it was sad. Feeling sad can be uncomfortable, but it’s not something you need to avoid.

Have you felt that way before? What have you labeled as bad? I would love for you to share. 💛

When we are willing to acknowledge our weaknesses or challenges they can become places where more love can get in.

My goal in life is not to be perfect (although it definitely stings when I’m not 😝) but to let as much love in as possible. When I acknowledge my imperfections and allow myself to be seen inside of them, it creates more opportunities to let love in.

Have you ever thought of it this way? Do you have a hard time making decisions? I’d love to hear! 💛

90 Days to finish the year strong?
Momma, if you find yourself crawling across the finish line of 2026, I am so proud of you.
You don’t need to put one more thing on your plate in order to finish strong. I see you giving your best every single day, and that is enough.

Send this to your favorite mom friends who need this reminder. I for sure could have used a friend to send me this when I had 3 kids 3 and under and decided that I needed to make all homemade gifts that Christmas. Please tell me I’m not the only one 🤪

I thought fear might be a good emotion to cover this week. 👻

Fear is a tricky one. You may have heard this statement “The Bible says, “Do not fear” 365 times, one for each day of the year.”

If you’ve heard that before, when fear shows up, you will need to get rid of it as quickly as possible. You might believe that feeling fear means you don’t have enough faith.

Many Christians have a challenging relationship with fear because of this.

All feelings need to be felt in order to be moved through, and fear is no exception.

We are not meant to live in fear, but when we try to avoid it, it can actually keep us stuck there.

God wants us to bring our fear to Him, however if you believe fear is bad, then it might actually keep you from bringing it to the One who can help you to move through it.

While I am speaking to fear today, you can swap out any challenging emotion. I’d love to hear, is there an emotion that feels especially hard for you to accept or to feel? Please share! 💛💛💛

Ok- is there anything like walking in on your husband doing dishes? 🥰

Tell me below what is one thing that your spouse does that makes you feel soooo loved?

Sometimes challenging moments happen and they create opportunities for more love to get in.

If your goal in emotional health is perfection, you’ll live in disappointment.
If your goal is to let more love in, then you can settle into the reality that opportunities abound.
As an emotional health coach, I’m going to experience challenges, and how beautiful to learn how to receive love inside of them. 💛😭 by @jessbeardconsulting

Sharing a few autumn haikus.

Did you know that reading poetry can be regulating?
It invites you to slow down and be in the present moment.

Try this:
Read it without doing anything.
Read it again slowly.
Notice what catches your attention.
What do you feel in your body?
Sit quietly and breathe.

If you feel so lead, write your own haiku from this grounded place. Creating can also be very regulating! 💛

You cannot learn your way out of your lived experience.

Read that again.

There was a part of me that thought I just needed to learn more… no. I needed to acknowledge what happened and meet myself with compassion.

Of course I can always learn more tools and resources, but until my experience is acknowledged and seen I will get stuck in shame over not being able to do what I think I should be doing.

If being a mom feels challenging because you didn’t grow up in a healthy family, and you know you want to give your kids something different, but you’re figuring it out by the seat of your pants, you’re not alone.

I have created a free quiz for you to start to explore how you are showing up in motherhood. Comment “mom” below and I’ll DM you the link.

You make sense friend. Motherhood is hard, and you don’t have to go in alone. 💛
