🏇 CONTESTANT WINNER — Jesse Brown

The PRCA regular season may be over. Jesse Brown’s rodeo season isn’t.

Jesse Brown had already put together a huge 2026 season — and then added a September Sprint Contestant Buggy to the list.

For contestants, Rodeo Bonus is another way to turn the rodeo season into opportunity. And with plenty of rodeos still ahead, there’s no reason to put the boots away just yet.

There are still rodeos to enter.
Still money to win.
Still fans ready to support their favorite contestants.
And still plenty of opportunities on Rodeo Bonus.

🔥 October Sprint is LIVE:
5 — $1,000 Buc-ee’s Fuel Cards in EVERY category

No steer wrestler has ever earned $200,000 during the rodeo regular season.

That is until Baker City’s Jesse Brown.

He not only broke the steer wrestling earnings record this year, but demolished it. by @gracielee3_

Jesse Brown has rewritten the history books. 💸

The Oregon native put together a standout 2026 season, finishing the regular season with $236,547.98 in earnings to set a new regular-season earnings record. Brown surpassed Tyler Waguespack’s mark of $205,876, set just days earlier.

The six-time NFR qualifier will enter the Thomas & Mack as the No. 1-ranked man in the world. by @gracielee3_

It’s finally October 1st, and we owe a congratulations to every cowboy and cowgirl who just wrapped the 2026 @prca_prorodeo regular season. For some, that means heading home. For four of ours, it means @lasvegasnfr is next.

@jesse3brown closes the regular season at #1 in the world standings in steer wrestling. @wells_brody__ currently sits at #7 in saddle bronc riding. @jcflake is #14 in team roping. And @bridgeranderson, the newest name riding for Cedar Gap Wealth, punches his ticket at #13 in steer wrestling.

Four riders. One stage. We couldn’t be prouder to stand behind them, and just as proud of every other rider carrying the Cedar Gap Wealth name this year: Tucker Allen, Will Lummus, Skyler Woolls, Winsten McGraw, Walt Arnold, Dakota Eldridge, Clayton Hass, Clay Tom Hurt, and Justin Shaffer. The work doesn’t stop at the NFR.

Welcome to the team, Bridger. And to Jesse, Brody, and Jc, who’ve been earning this all year: see you in Vegas. by @gracielee3_

Records are falling in the 2026 regular season. 🔥

Six-time NFR qualifier Jesse Brown has shattered the steer wrestling single-season earnings record, with an unofficial total of $215,048. Brown has earned nearly $22,000 at the CINCH Playoffs Governors Cup, helping push him to the record-setting mark.

And rookie Noah Lee has already rewritten the bull riding record books.

Currently No. 1 in the world standings, Lee has earned $371,040.21 in the 2026 regular season, surpassing the previous record of $368,630, set by Stetson Wright in 2023.
With more performances still to come today, Brown and Lee have a chance to add even more to their new record-setting total.

CLUTCH/Look at Banker’s boy Jesse Brown go. It would have been easy to throw his sucker in the dirt after the money steer Dalton Massey won Round 1 on stumbled before the line at the Governor’s Cup in Sioux Falls last night, which forced Jesse to give up the good one and run the extra.

But no…

Jesse and his hazer/Banker’s main man/2026 bulldogging bubble boy Justin Shaffer regrouped and made money out of mud. 3.6 to win Round 2, and 7.6 to lead the eight steer wrestlers advancing to Championship Sunday this afternoon. Shaffer’s 9.6 on two steers squeaked into today’s great eight, splitting the 7/8 hole with Tristan Martin.

That $12,533 Jesse won last night shot him ahead of five-time champ of the world Tyler Waguespack for the world standings lead, and Jesse’s $215,047 sets a new record for regular-season steer wrestling earnings. Oh, and this afternoon’s champ will win $34,000.

Like Jesse said, “To be the best you have to beat the best. It’s been fun chasing one of the best.”

Bulldoggers have now won $1.7 million on the back of Banker. And counting…💰

All we need now is our @tuckallen healed up and back in action!

👀We see you back there cheering on your buddies, Rhino. You’re the man.🦏
