Some of the greatest gifts of being a teacher are the people you get to watch grow, and the ways they end up teaching you, too.

Alexander, you are one of those gifts.

My longtime student. Fight team captain. Entrepreneur. Teacher. Coach. Confidant. Dungeon master. Our very own sweet-and-sour patch kid. 😂 A leader, a soon-to-be husband, and an all-around extraordinary human being.

Those titles say a lot about what you do. But what I’m celebrating today is who you are, the heart behind the work, the loyalty behind the leadership, and the love behind the ways you show up for others.

Watching you build your life, find your voice, and share your gifts has been one of my greatest privileges as your coach. I’m proud of what you’ve accomplished, and even prouder of the man you continue to become.

My birthday wish for you is that this next year brings experiences that make you feel fully alive. Love beyond your wildest dreams. Happiness that outweighs life’s sorrows, and people who help you carry what happiness alone cannot.

May you have the abundance to fulfill your dreams and keep blessing others with your gifts and talents. May you make room to receive the same care you give so freely.

And above all, may you never have to wonder whether you are loved. May you hear it, see it, and feel it, in the everyday moments as much as the big ones.

You don’t have to earn that love with another win, another achievement, or another act of service. You are deeply loved for who you are.

Everyone, please join me in celebrating Alexander “DARKSIDE” Dalaki Rickerby. 💜🖤🤍🎂

Happy Birthday, Alexander. Keep building. Keep dreaming. Keep being beautifully, unapologetically you.

With love and pride,

We had 5 jobs to accomplish: ☑️ my silver certification with USA Boxing☑️make weight for first match ☑️Win semis ☑️ make weight for finals ☑️ win finals . Needless to say all business was handled. I am filled with gratitude. It doesn’t come from the win, but instead it comes from our dedication to development and the process. It comes from the support from all of you. It comes from having people believe in us, and also our ability to believe in ourselves. It takes a village to pull all this off. It’s not just me. @txselectboxingclub thank you for being a solid team and taking good care of us. Thank you to every single sponsor that got us here. @unaffiliated_uac thank you for covering for me while I was away. I am because we are. @elena_grijalva I’m so proud of you for hitting every single goal you set for yourself this week. Your growth is inspiring. Thanks for letting me be a part of your journey. Proud of you lady. by @jessnmiramontes
