POSTS STORIES REELS

Meet me in five’s! Some of these were a bit harder than others, but I love reading everyone’s favourite things, so it was just fair to share my own ☺️

Favourite books was HARD! Some of these I haven’t read in a while, but they for sure stuck with me.

Movies was a bit easier. I love a easy laugh out loud rom-com that pulls at your heartstrings. Clearly 🤷‍♀️😅

TV shows are usually either easy watching and funny or full of drama. There is no in between.

I tend to listen to the same music over and over again. I have lots of songs and artists I like, but love is another thing.

In the summer I could eat cherries every single day. I love me a mid-day energy drink. And carbonated water all the way ☺️ by @jh.canada.reads

I Read Canadian Day is today, November 4! And while it is historically a day used to educate young readers on Canadian stories, I couldn’t pass up the day to give a shout out to my favourite Canadian romance authors!

Canada is so much more than maple syrup and hockey - Canada is diverse and hot and romantic and yes, sometimes complicated. But Canada always shows up, especially for our own.

All of the attributes listed also apply to my favourite Canadian authors and the stories they write.
So here’s to @joss.richard, @authorbalkhabra, @authorhannahby, @carleyfortune, @kate_robb_writes and so so many more.
Canada may be the top world wide distributor of maple syrup, but I think we should add romance novels to that list 😉 by @jh.canada.reads

If you are looking for your next thrilling read, consider this one! This Jury Is Guilty delivers what the title promises and is filled with twist and turns. A Hollywood couple find themselves in the sort of spotlight no Celebrity would want and the jury needs to decide who is guilty and who is not.
Is it a fair jury though if almost everyone has some kind of ties to the accused? #thisjuryisguilty #LaurieBlake by @jh.canada.reads

Please, someone erase my memory! Which books would you read again for the first time if you could? by @jh.canada.reads

October was heavyyyy on the Maasverse. I still didn’t finish my first read of TOG before ACOSH was released, but that is fine. I will head back into that world this month. Soo may solid reads this month, it’s hard to pick a favourite. by @jh.canada.reads

Trick or Treat, but heavy on the treats! These are some of the best books I have read this year (so far)! Which books would make it into your treat bucket? by @jh.canada.reads

How much reading can I get done while my youngest has swimming lessons? Book is “This Jury Is Guilty” and is sooooo good and gripping so far! Can’t.put.it.down!
Thanks to @sourcebooksinternational for the eARC and keeping me entertained by @jh.canada.reads

The Tandem Read is complete! 🥳🥳
145 chapters, and because the tandem read itself is not hard enough, I did it on audio. I think, for the most part, I truly did myself a disservice by doing the tandem read via audio. I lost track of the people, the places, and sometimes even the book I was reading.
But, it is done. Next time I will stick to eyeball reading for sure.

Empire Of Storm is the clear winner for me, but I did not hate Tower Of Dawn. People really had me scared for this one 😅
Sure, Chaol is … Chaol, but I did really like the overall storyline in “his” book.

Now, onto the last book on this series. I am both scared and excited for the epic conclusion of this masterpiece of a series! by @jh.canada.reads

What does a loonie and a box of crackers get you at the library book sale? Quite a bit!
The Welland Library Book sale was so much fun, albeit a bit overwhelming. Found quite a few French kids book, which I’m sure my boys will appreciate. Found two non-fiction books for myself also, so I will call this a win ☺️ by @jh.canada.reads

Last year, the “Ten before the end” post really helped me to stay accountable. With so many great releases this year, there were so many on my radar, and this is my official list of books I want to read before the end of 2026! Being a mood reader does really work against me sometimes, but I will try my best 😅☺️ Do you have any books you want to read before the end of 2026? Please share! by @jh.canada.reads

I can’t believe this gem of a book was released a week ago already! I knew going in that I would find magic realism, but what I did not know was that I would also find laughs, a few tears, and characters following their dreams.
If you love magical realism stories, @kate_robb_writes ‘s got you! Another stellar one, seriously could not put it down! by @jh.canada.reads

Somehow, some way, everything always turns out okay around Christmas. Gianna Mancini lives in a small-town and her town of Mulligans Creek sure knows how to get people into the holiday spirit. When The Market, where most of the small businesses operate from, is on the verge of collapse, Gianna and her best friends Sam and Jo try to come up with a plan to save The Market and the Christmas spirit all around.

I absolutely loved this YA story! The Christmas feels, the big family, and coming off age feelings. Also wow, the love triangle was well written and added a great element to the story.
What I appreciate about @cassiemillerwrites writing is, that while the story itself may be fluffy, the characters are facing real-life problems and are relatable. YA romance is such a minefield sometimes, but Meet Me On Mistletoe Lane can be recommended for all ages. by @jh.canada.reads
