THE WORLD WITHIN: The Global Sounds of John Coltrane is a new project from saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist Irwin Hall, inspired by Coltrane's centennial and the global musical traditions that shaped his sound. Traveling through Africa, Brazil, Spain, and the Caribbean and beyond, this project explores Coltrane's music as a bridge between cultures, rhythm, spirit, and shared humanity.

Official performance October 23, 2026 at The Cutting Room @ 44 East 32nd St in New York City

This spring I worked as animation supervisor and concept artist for a doc in the BRIC Documentary Intensive.

BRIC is a non-profit arts and media organization that provides a variety of film-related programs, including festivals, classes, and opportunities for emerging filmmakers in Brooklyn.

Huge thanks to director @mvjw for the opportunity, and the talented artists who helped bring this project to life. Couldn’t have done it without them! Stay tuned — got more cool stuff coming soon.

Last month my friends and family were the first to see Janke in a private showing on a big screen! Thank you so much to everyone for supporting and showing love. All of you who worked on the film, donated, came to the premiere, or told a friend about it- I'm grateful for you all🫡 And of course thanks to the star of the film, my mom!

Almost two years of production in, and I'm so ready to show you all the very first trailer of my upcoming short film called "Janke." I'd like to shout out @copilot.music a local band based here in Boston that allowed me to use their original music to promote the film, all the hardworking crew that helped, film, plan, animate, and bring it to life; and all the supporters who donated to help fund its completion!
