Rachmaninoff 2nd Piano Concerto and Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini with the Edmonton Symphony tonight. Great venue, excellent performances! by @jhrmpls

Matthew Shepard was killed 28 years ago today. He’s one of the reasons we still fight for the right to live the lives all LGBT people deserve. His murderers, Russell Henderson and Aaron McKinney are rotting in prison and will be for the rest of their miserable lives. RIP Matt. by @jhrmpls

Canadian Finals Rodeo night with these cowboys! by @jhrmpls

Thanks Florence! You were magic as usual. We’re on the train headed back to Rome for one more night before heading to Toronto. A trip of a lifetime; thanks T for being my travel husband and street navigator! by @jhrmpls

I’ve had the great good fortune of seeing Michelangelo’s The David several times on my trips to Florence. It is by far my favorite piece of art on the planet. The fact that one human could achieve perfection is astonishing to me. The number of tourists seeing him tells me that people still value beauty and want it in their lives. For scale, I left the people in the shot. by @jhrmpls

I’ve seen the Colosseum a few times in my life, and every time I do, the same question enters my mind: how did every day people build this? Simple as that. It was Ted’s first time and he loved it! by @jhrmpls

Me: “Do you even squat bro?” Ancient Roman: “We live at the Vatican, so obviously.” Me: “OK, now I see it.” by @jhrmpls

I might look fresh and delightful, but the heat and humidity in Rome are no joke. I’m living on San Pellegrino, Gelato and Evian face mist. Almost too hot to eat or drink. Still, it’s Rome! by @jhrmpls

Let the Italian adventure begin! by @jhrmpls

I have always felt that Ted and I were supposed to meet. Here’s another example: we each got the other the same Anniversary card bought in different countries. Ok, well that’s a wrap everyone lol. by @jhrmpls
