If you’re new here 👋🏻

Holaaaaa I’m Jianing

I help people make intentional financial decisions, but that’s only one part of who I am…

I’d love to get to know you too.
What’s one thing about you that most people wouldn’t guess? by @jianingsim

Five years. It feels both like a blink and a lifetime.
Happy fifth work anniversary, JN - may the next five grow me in ways I can’t even imagine yet 💛🥹 by @jianingsim

👀 What it’s like working with me — through the eyes of my clients.

Spent some time earlier this year to relook into how my clients have been feeling working with me - I’ve never believed that financial planning should feel transactional. Instead, it should feel like you’re being seen, heard, and supported through one of the most important parts of life. And that’s why when people i work with mention things like “I feel cared for” or “you made something scary less scary” — it assures me i’m on the right track. It’s exactly what i’ve set out to do and reminds me why I do this work the way I do.

This is what my value is:
✨ Being present
✨ Creating clarity within the complex without pressure
✨ Journeying together — not just for a season, but through seasons

Whether you’ve been with me since grad days or we’ve just crossed paths — thank you for choosing me, again and again.

Here’s to continuing to do this meaningfully & intentionally. 💬🤍

Your name is on the account. That doesn’t make it your money.

Most people find this out at the worst possible time: after someone dies, when the siblings start asking questions.

One family in Singapore took it all the way to the Court of Appeal. Swipe to see what decided it. by @jianingsim

A will covers what happens after you’re gone. But what happens if you’re still here, yet unable to speak for yourself? That’s where LPA comes in.

Good financial planning goes beyond growing your wealth. It’s also about protecting your wishes, preparing for the unexpected, & looking out for the people who matter most. ❤️

At our recent private client seminar, we brought parent, child and partners together to discuss important topics that are often overlooked or put off - from wills & estate planning to sustaining future healthcare needs.

These aren’t always easy conversations to start & can feel overwhelming. Sometimes, all it takes is the right information & a safe space to begin.

Our hope is that everyone left a little more prepared & better equipped to make decisions that matter.

If “I should really do this one day” has been on your mind, consider this your sign. Drop us a DM or comment “PLAN” - we’d love to hear from you! 💌 by @jianingsim

A reflective season as I embark on my 7th year in the business.

I think one of the things I’ve grown to appreciate more over the years as an adviser is how differently people think about money.

I’ve always had my own professional convictions, and I still do. But the more people I meet and conversations I have, the more I realise how much nuance there is behind every financial decision.

What makes perfect sense to one person may not sit quite as comfortably with another.

And sometimes, neither is necessarily wrong.

We all have different experiences, responsibilities, priorities and relationships with money.

Which is why I think planning requires more than just knowing the numbers. It takes discernment to understand the person sitting across from you, to know which questions to ask, which assumptions to challenge, and how to weigh the trade-offs together.

I’m learning that having a strong professional opinion and being open to different perspectives aren’t mutually exclusive. If anything, experience has made me more intentional about how I arrive at my recommendations.

Because ultimately, the goal isn’t just to find a solution that looks good on paper, but one that’s suitable for the person who has to live with that decision. by @jianingsim

New markets call for new capabilities 🚀

Recently, a group of our senior advisers came together for an exclusive Eminence session focused on expanding into the estate planning space.

Stepping into a new market takes courage, even with years of experience behind you. It means being willing to learn again, sharpen new skills and have different conversations with clients.

Here’s to new ground, new conversations and the courage to keep evolving! 😌

Turning 29 feels a lot calmer somehow 🩵

More grounded and assured in my own ways. More aware of my boundaries, my energy, and the people I’m choosing to build my life with.

Also less of looking around to see if I’m ‘on track’ or where everyone else is at. And feeling more comfortable moving at my own pace & trusting that it’s enough.

Maybe this is what getting older feels like hahaha. If it is, i’m really looking forward to the many birthdays coming. This peace is invaluable.

Appreciate all the well wishes friends!! Feeling very loved 🫶🏻 by @jianingsim

Being married made transparency about our responsibilities and assets feel non-negotiable - not just the what, but the why.

It’s definitely not easy approaching harder conversations like this but we rather have them now than leave each other scrambling for answers, or guessing at intentions later.

Hope this encourages you to have a conversation like this with your significant other / parents too 💛

Just got married. To many it’s the start of new life. Yet here we are talking about this - probably pantang in our parents era to bring up death in such a joyous season

Like i always advise: don’t follow the crowd. It always goes down to your needs: and yes we needed it.

Take note if your intention is to gift everything to your spouse.

This is on top of the prolonged administration time and complex paperwork while in grief

Imagine the asset flow…. Where does the older one’s assets ultimately go? Is it aligned with what you would want?

This one hits closer to home since we travel tgt often

It’s not about expecting the worst : it’s simply not leaving it to a formula neither of us chose

Planning in advanced is important because we want choices - to choose now rather than being forced to choose

I understand conversations like this are sometimes difficult to hold , I encourage you to start from small: send this to your partner if you dk where to start. & Feel free to dm me if you require guidance. 🫶🏻 by @jianingsim
