VICTORY THROUGH OBEDIENCE: DEFEATING YOUR GIANTS

Jorgie preached at our churches conference. I believe he’ll always remember this forever. It was an eventful morning, he felt sick to his stomach I said it was nerves he said it was the enemy… going to keep it brief. A little over 3 years ago my family and I moved to Arizona. Although the peace we had about the decision was from God, there has been so many times throughout the 3 years that have made us ask ourselves “Did we make the right choice?” Main reason we moved was to raise our kids in a good area. Allow our family opportunities we weren’t able to make happen right away in California. I would move all over again if you told me I’d be watching my son become a little man of God who had a passion and a gift to spread Gods word. This was the first clear message from God that I received. God is showing my husband and I that we’ve been obedient and most of all we’re doing a good job staying on Gods path. God is good and faithful!! by @jiujitsujorgie

Jorgitos trains out of Gracie Barra Chandler. He may only be 7, but he trains like the adults—up for 5:30 AM classes and training multiple times a day.

This was his second @ibjjf tournament and first win and medal this weekend at American Nationals. We couldn’t be more proud!

Extra proud of this little fighter—mainly because he’s my baby boy. 💙🥋

Way to go, Jorgitos! Your hard work is paying off. by @jiujitsujorgie

Pan Kids 2026

Not every tournament can me measured by what medal you brought home. We started this page to document the journey and that includes peaks and valleys.

Jorgie came into Pan Kids as prepared as he’s ever been, training 2–3 times a day, putting in extra work, and making huge strides in his jiu-jitsu. Unfortunately, he drew the eventual champion in the first round and ended up coming up short on points.

Sometimes the bracket doesn’t reflect the work you’ve put in.

But progress always does.

His performance showed more growth than any medal could. The technique, confidence, and composure he displayed proved that the countless hours are paying off. There was also a lot of mental growth. We watched him control his emotions, reset and refocus where he could have lost it and fight until the very end. Those are victories that cannot be measured and at the end of the day that is why we do this, for what jujitsu shows you, teaches you and brings out of you.

The medals will come. For now, we put our head down and keep building. Champions aren’t made overnight by @jiujitsujorgie

2026 AZBJJL State- No Gi 🌵

Did some no gi. Had some fun, got to do the final with one of my main training partners.

2026 AZBJJL State

Got to display new techniques that I’ve been working on. The growth, composure, and confidence is starting to show on the mats.

With Pans kids coming up next week, the work has been put in—two-a-day training sessions, countless rounds, and a commitment to getting better every single day.

Now it’s time for the fun part.

Next stop: Pan Kids 2026 in Kissimmee, Florida.

Let’s go! ⚔️ by @jiujitsujorgie

2026 American Nationals 🇺🇸
This tournament is starting to become a special one for me.

It was the first tournament where I ever won an IBJJF medal, and this year gave me another reminder of why I love competing. I was able to win two matches by submission, but came up short in the semifinals on points against a great competitor. It was one of those losses that still leaves you proud of your performance.

There were plenty of moments where things got tough, but what I’m most proud of is that I never stopped pushing. I weathered the storms, and kept looking for opportunities until the very end.

One of my biggest goals this year isn’t just to collect medals—it’s to take something away from every match and every tournament. Whether I win or lose, I want to keep improving. I’m putting more focus on my effort, my mindset, and the mental side of jiu-jitsu. Those are the things that carry over long after the tournament is over.

First @f2wbjj in the book. It was an awesome experience I got to share with my team. It’s special to get out there and see the whole team do so well and get cheer each other on after all the hours spent together training and pushing each other. (@gbchandler72 and @dreamguardproject).

Felt the nerves, but was proud of how I was able to control my emotions and enjoy the event. Much respect to my opponent for the challenge. The point of it all is always growth. Monday morning we are back in the gym working. Everyday isn’t perfect but everyday is progress.
