when people ask me what I do, I tell them I’m a full-time 29 year old😭✌🏻 by @jjuleslee

I’m actively trying to “live my best life” but ngl there are more days where I feel lonely, directionless and full of self-doubt 😮‍💨

I want to experience the world, figure out who I am and what kind of relationships I want to have, but also take care of myself and figure out how to sustainably make money… all at the same time?? and sometimes I just want to throw everything out the door, fly back home to hold my dog in fetal position and pretend like I never had dreams to begin with🥲😭

BUT i try to remind myself that CONFIDENCE IS A CHOICE NOT A PERSONALITY TRAIT and we have to choose to show up💪

So if u have also been struggling with self doubt, I hope you know you’re not alone and that you can CHOOSE to show up today for YOURSELF🫵🏻 by @jjuleslee

please give me tips for part 3😭😭 (part 3 coming soon… ✈️) by @jjuleslee

girl u better save this and play it on REPEAT during ur luteal phase🫵🏻🩸 by @jjuleslee

the longer I sit with an idea, the better I get at talking myself out of it - whether it’s posting content, starting a project/business idea, or sending a scary email.

So this year I’m going to try to do less sitting and doubting, and more DOING

Even if it’s starting with the silly stuff like ticking things off my “30 before 30” bucket list

Because if you can jump off a 60m tall platform on a whim, you can probably send that scary email too🫵🏻✨ by @jjuleslee

I turned 29 (last week) and these are my top 20 *practical* pieces of advice I wish I could tell my 20yo self 🙂‍↕️

I thought a lot about whether to post this or not… (hence it’s one week late)

bc when I watch it back I see this polished 29YO WOMAN who’s seemingly ‘figured it out’. When in reality i still feel like a CLUELESS 20YO GIRL -barely coping most days.

but i think that’s most of us in this awkward “in between” stage.. we’ve lived enough to know better, but still learning to do better AND THATS OK RIGHT?!??

regardless, this was a fun bday project and im writing this as im eating mango sticky rice so in THIS moment i am one happy 29yo by @jjuleslee

5 years ago I wrote a note on my phone: “Julz’ 30 before 30” - a bucket list of things I wanted to do before 30.

number 22 on this list is “fly business class”. when young naive 24yo julz wrote this list, she thought she would be making it RAIN by 30🤑… but alas shes 29 now and still young dumb and broke🫠

☝🏻BUT shes still determined to tick this one off the list and we have 12 months and many opportunities to make it happen

COMMENT “👀” if u want to see me tick off the other items on the list (there are MUCH more ambitious items we gotta work through) by @jjuleslee

ep.3 tall poppy syndrome🥀
frontal lobe diaries: lessons from my 20s💌

growing up, I remember “try-hard” being such an insult.. so i made sure never to be caught trying, or god forbid, CARING

but when you can’t admit you want things, it’s hard to be happy for the people who get them.

i’d clap for other people’s wins and feel quietly bitter inside. i thought it made me a bad person, but it was actually just because it was a shameful reminder of my own inaction.

letting myself care out loud, and being proud to try even if i fail, has been the most healing shift of my 20s. once you’re reaching for your own dreams, you want everyone else reaching too. their wins stop feeling like discouragement and start feeling like proof.

i know good things are coming for me, and they’re coming for all you tall poppies too🫵🏻❤️ by @jjuleslee

10 *little* things that make my life better☀️😌

5 months ago, i sold all my things and bought a one-way flight to japan with nothing but a backpack and a plan to "find myself and my purpose"

since then i've been hopping country-to-country, exploring the world, building a business and working on self-discovery... all in an attempt to find 'happiness'.

what actually kept me grounded were the small things - noticing the little moments, and letting them count (so I keep a list)

what's on your list?

trusty sadari saves my indecisive ass😌

fyi my original plan was to go to da nang vietnam (hence HCM is lowk underwhelming) but I was advised against it by many ppl bc it’ll be peak rainy season🥲

NONETHELESS thanks internet for choosing my next stop ✈️ I have to go book the flight now bc it’s in 3 days 😬 by @jjuleslee
