my last birthday I was recovering from a relapse and my sisters asked me what I wanted for myself in the next year.
I told them I didn’t even know if it was possible but I would love to be able to say I have a year sober off that stuff.
This time around, I can say I been a year clean and I am beyond grateful and blessed in so many different ways. by @jkwonzy

I’ll do my best to uphold your legacy— to try to spread (even a fraction of) the light that you did, and provide others with the warmth and safety that I found in you and that you found in me you did fucking amazing, and I’m so proud of you this one’s for you • song snagged from @jermzdaflip choreography @jkwonzy “Surprise Yourself” - @jackgarratt by @jkwonzy$

I’ll press on with a love real strong so my people know that they belong

Last year I went to Alaska as my first solo travel and it really was a game changer for me in my journey (grateful🫰🏼)
This year, we need dancers to join along in Sitka, Alaska!

I choreographed this about a month ago as a reminder to keep pushing forward, to keep working towards betterment.

With the state of the world and weight of its pains and tragedies, this piece feels more personal now.
I vow to maintain my best efforts to fight against injustice, to fight for the rights and the dignity of my fellow humans, to stand in heart and in hand to protect our most vulnerable.
