Every runway moment has a story behind it. For Joan Madison, Fashion Week Columbus is part of that journey. ✨

@joansbridal reflects on how @columbusfashionweek helped pave her way—providing a platform to share her designs, connect with the fashion community, and bring her vision to the runway.

Now, as this year’s headlining designer, Joan steps into the spotlight with a story that makes every look mean even more.

From New York’s fashion houses to the Columbus runway, Joan Madison has built a career around craftsmanship and bringing a vision to life. ✨

Originally from Queens, Joan brought her fashion expertise to Columbus through her work with The Limited and Express before building her own bridal and couture business. Her custom bridal and eveningwear designs have made her part of the city’s creative fabric.

In this conversation, @joansbridal reflects on how @fashionweekcolumbus helped pave the way for her independent designs to reach the runway—connecting her artistry with an audience and a community that celebrates it.

Now, she returns as **Fashion Week Columbus’ 2026 Headlining Designer.** A new chapter in a story Columbus has helped shape. 🖤

Congratulations to fashion designer Joan Madison who is our 2026 Raymond J. Hanley Award recipient!! Go to GCAC.org to learn more about Joan Madison’s incredible career and the Hanley Award.

I am Humbled, Honored, Thankful, and Deeply Grateful to be the 2026 recipient of the Raymond J. Hanley Award from the Greater Columbus Arts Council (#GCAC)

There are some moments in life that words simply cannot fully express… and this is one of them. ❤️

To be authentically seen — not just for what you do, but for who you are, the journey you’ve traveled, the passion you’ve poured into your work, and the impact you’ve made — is a blessing beyond measure.

I am especially grateful for an organization like GCAC that understands the importance of supporting, championing, and investing in local artists and the creative spirit that makes our community so special.

Thank you, GCAC, for seeing me, believing in me, and honoring my journey.

This recognition feels like one of those moments when you pause and realize…
It’s Harvest Season, from the fruit of my hands, God has been preparing me for this all along, ….and the knowing that what is meant for you will find you, in His perfect timing, and that’s called Favor🙏🏾

Seeing one of my designs in this online feature in @GlamourBulgaria is such an incredible honor. “Unearthed “ is a 5 piece capsule collection born from my artist residency in Dresden,Germany @kunsthaus_raskolnikow.
Created with natural fibers and inspired by Ethnic luxury , each piece honors organic textures, and the stories of our ancestors woven into the materials themselves.
Thank you, @glamourbulgaria for the feature—it truly means the world.
It’s a reminder that every collection can have a life beyond the runway.
Every design has a story, and I’m grateful to see this one continue.
