POSTS STORIES REELS
Tokyo with my partner in crime by @joeknowstravel
What I’ve learned being off SM for 7 months : 1. You’ll notice who truly has you in their minds and hearts. Most people are so conditioned to think liking or reacting to a story is “keeping in touch” with you… and when that’s gone? The people who really matter will pick up the phone and reach out. I tuned 31 this year and instead of hundreds of birthday DMs, I could count on my hands the people who called or texted. That was eye opening. (Btw spent it with amazing new friends I had just met. Shoutout to y’all. @mattpoliseno @goodguydeschamps @saamsaenz ) 2. Silence can be one of the best teachers. Without the constant noise of everyone else’s life, you’re forced to face your own. What you’re running from. What you actually want and what you have convinced yourself you want because of “content”. Who you are when no one’s watching. 3. Presence becomes addictive. Surf sessions, long dinners, late-night convos, training on the mats. You start realizing how rich life feels when it’s not built for a highlight reel. You’re completely there, not thinking “I need to film, post, etc”. 4. Living such a Hedonic life can seem like self care, but the true gift and pleasure comes from getting in the trenches with someone who needs the lift out and building something deeper than the next high. 5. Coming back online, I don’t want to share from ego or validation. I want to share from experience. From lessons. From what I’ve actually lived, not just what looks good. by @joeknowstravel
Make sure to follow @joeknowstravel for more travel content!! I can’t be the only one who people constantly mistake as a local while traveling simply because I’m brown 👀It’s honestly a nice travel hack to get great deals or for people not to bother me (thinking I’m a tourist) until I start speaking 😅 I consider myself a chameleon 🦎 and a citizen of the world 🌍 . . . . . . . . . #usa #passportbros #digitalnomadlifestyle #lifeabroad #egypt #estadosunidos #travelusa life in America | immigrant life | vida nos estados unidos #america #italy #morocco #portugal #europe locals in Europe | life in Europe by @joeknowstravel

Here is your sign to take a BREAK! For the last 6 months I’ve taken a huge step back from social media. Though I did not stop traveling, capturing beautiful moments, and creating content, I did stop putting much energy into social media. I wouldn’t say I was “burnt out” but I will say I was a bit over posting on social media. I got to a point where I felt social media served it’s purpose (providing a full-time income and opening doors to many opportunities to continue traveling the world) that I no longer “needed” to continue to create for these platforms. (Focusing on client work off of the platform). However, though being able to travel full time while making a full time income was a goal that I achieved, I realize that wasn’t THE goal or sole purpose I had when I first started. I started creating content simply because I loved showing you the world through my lens and having a platform to influence others to get out of their home town and do the same. This hiatus was exactly what I needed to reset and redefine my intentions for being here with you. Though it would have been nice if that hiatus was shorter (because now I have so much content to sort out), I am excited for this new chapter of what I will provide for you. If you are new here, welcome! And if you have been following my journey for a long time, welcome back! I hope I can provide some sort of value for you moving forward 🙏🏽 With that being said, what is one thing you would like me to share or you would like to see/know more about? 👇🏽 ______________________________________ #merzouga #moroccotravel #saharadesert #digitalnomadslife #cometravelwithme by @joeknowstravel
