My first 70.3 Ironman was such an amazing experience

I was really nervous before the start ,

Swimming is first 1.2 miles , it is my favorite part so I knew I would be fine and in fact I loved the swim

Biking 56 miles was next where I did way better than I would have imagined but a lot of hills and my quads were on fire

By the time the run came I was ready to do that half marathon distance but quads were really heavy and we had a lot of hills again so I had to take a few walk breaks

I did everything in 7hours and 10 minutes 💪

I have so many things to say about the race but I will keep posting the next few days about it

But I am an IRONWOMAN and proud of it

Imposter syndrome and nerves were real before race day

But after months of training and commitment in one of the hardest year of my life I am proud of everything I have accomplished.

Keep showing up for yourself even when it is hard or scary

Story time

I took a little fall on the bike maybe around mile 30 ,

I grabbed bottle of water from one of the water station and when I wanted to throw it away I slowed down but took some gravel on my front well and went down ,

Nothing major I knew I was not injured just I would have little bruised I put my chaine back on and carry on with my bike

Just the fact that now I know how to put my chaine back and was able to continue made me feel really proud 😂

I don't have enough words to express how grateful I am , I had so much love and support behind me and that means more than you can imagine!

Special thank you to my amazing husband , who is always behind the scenes , waited for me during hours , ran around to make sure he would see me during each transition , drove the all 8 hours back just so I could rest and he always follows and support my crazy goals ❤️
