Chipotle - MEN 🌯

And they increased their portion sizes. So…I’ll only be going more often.

Also shout out to my wife for capturing this masterpiece @tina_x_bai by @joerodonis

The All Blacks are the most successful team in sports history — a win rate over 75% for more than a century. No other elite team comes close.
But their edge isn’t just talent. It’s character.

They have a saying — better people make better All Blacks. They recruit for who you are, not just what you can do.

One of the greatest of All-Time - was Richie McCaw

* 131 wins from 148 Tests — an ~88% career win rate, a world record
* 110 matches as captain — more than double the previous record; won 97 of them (~89% as captain)
* One of only two men to captain a side to two Rugby World Cup titles (2011 and 2015)

The individual honors:
* World Rugby Player of the Year — 3 times (2006, 2009, 2015), a joint record
* World Rugby Player of the Decade (2011–2020)

He had a simple phrase that he would write down before every match.

Start Again. by @joerodonis

This is your sign to get married in Italy.
But not like everyone else.

In a place like Villa Cetinale,
where Tuscany slows everything down
and every moment has space to exist.

A wedding isn’t meant to be performed.
It’s meant to be lived.

Joe & Tina spent an entire weekend doing exactly that,
and this is what it looks like when nothing is forced.

No poses.
No scripts.
Just moments you can’t recreate.

GOOD LUCK THIS WEEKEND by @joerodonis

At DOC last week, the question I heard most often from physicians wasn’t whether strength training belongs in preventive care. It was how to implement it.

What do I prescribe? How do I measure adherence and progress? How do I get a patient who has never lifted to begin safely? The intent is there. What’s missing is a clinical pathway.

The traditional answer is the gym. It works for some but not for all. The space is intimidating, the technique was never taught, and supervised training with a qualified coach is costly and time-consuming.

The result is that the patients who stand to benefit most are the least likely to start.
That’s the problem @tonal was invited to address.

Physicians in the room saw it as a tool to measure, monitor, and implement a resistance training routine a patient can carry out at home. Load is tailored to the individual. Form and safety are built in. Progress is tracked and visible. Coaching meets the patient where they are, not where a program assumes they should be.

The evidence that muscle, strength, and power protect health as we age is not in question. The gap has been delivery. Closing it will take coaches, clinicians, and technology working inside the same system.

Presentations from the event are available on the DOC website. I’d encourage anyone working in prevention to review them. by @joerodonis

The US spends more on healthcare than any country in the world and has the worst outcomes of any of its peers.

Our system is built to react to disease, not prevent it. Hospitals need to be prepared to treat. But without a front line, they stay overloaded and costs keep rising.

We need better preventative care. Proper nutrition and strength training belong at the front of the system. World-class coaches and dietitians should be integrated into it, so everyone has access to the education and support to build a lifestyle that protects their health.

We need amazing doctors to treat the unexpected. At the same time - we need the education, support, and access to do everything in our power to own our health.

How do you think we can improve preventative care in our system? by @joerodonis

MULTI-SPORT STRENGTH. Now on @tonal

6 weeks. 4 sessions a week.

Built for triathletes and endurance athletes in a race-day build.

As you approach race day, sport-specific volume climbs. Swim, bike, run take priority. That’s where your adaptation needs to happen.

Strength stays in the plan. The prescription changes.

We shift to minimum effective dose: lower volume, higher intent. Enough neuromuscular stimulus to preserve strength, rate of force development, and tissue resilience. Not enough systemic fatigue to compromise your key sessions.

Strength that supports the adaptation. Never competes with it. by @joerodonis

Some wholesome dog content for your Wednesday

Left for Sonoma yesterday and took the morning to spend time with the lady. by @joerodonis

Y’all, something excellent happened.

@joerodonis and I collaborated on a special new class on @tonal called Tag Team: Home Run Strength… and it was kind of the best class ever.

Scroll through the carousel for a bunch of moments of fun & perspective… and scroll to the second to last slide to see an actual instant replay from class (really) and the final slide to see how the Ocean Spray Boyz (™️) close out a class 😅.

This workout was programmed with baseball and baseball players in mind, but it was also a generally very lit, biomechanically-sound workout for anyone looking for a balanced hybrid workout. Check it out on the Tonal trainer now!

Teaching on-camera fitness classes is fun, but getting to do it with one of your buddies is the best. Cheers to more strong, happy times ahead. 💪🙌❤️‍🔥

… this was like 20 minutes into class and I was like “OH OK JOE” lmao

Bros can be divas too 💪🏻💅🏻

Impeccable form (to get struck out on) 💛⚾️☄️

Tee Ball Prospect (it’s something!)

Existential screams FTW + … science? Whatever I believe Joe

A challenge was issued

…and accepted

@shelbss44 always raising the bar

Put the work in, now.
