Love from Joey & Nath by @joeymanzii

This deep listening set from Joey Manzi is all about the beauty of simplicity. Genre-fluid yet rooted in jazz and soul, it drifts through their many shades and global subfolders with ease. Each selection feels intentional, revealing Joey’s depth, character, and quiet class. A set I loved editing, and one that has already been blessing Shai’s speakers reguarly.

As always, you can support this channel by joining our Patreon. On there you will find an archive of listening sessions from our Grounded sets, to our listening session events as well as other guest mixes. Plus, the track lists to all Grounded sets. Head over there via the link in our bio.

Poor yourself some jasmine tea, get comfy & enjoy this soulful set 🎵🫖 by @joeymanzii

collecting these guest slots like they’re Pokémon 🔐. making my third appearance on @nts_radio tonight covering @ash_lauryn_ on @undergroundandblack .

I’ve been the biggest fan of ash and the whole U&B movement for the longest. Thank you for trusting me with this and allowing me to express myself through sound.

Movement - Joy and Liberation are some words that encapsulate the feel of this mix.

Peace ✊🏾🔊🪩🇨🇩🇵🇸🇸🇩 by @joeymanzii

some books come into your life at the exact time you need it. Flea is the bassist and co- founder of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. I loved their music as a kid, never actually went through any albums back then but I’d never change the channel when they came on VH1 or MTV.

There’s a video that comes up on my feed every now and again of Flea getting emotional speaking about his love for DILLA. Then a good friend of mine advised me to give this a read and I did that.

Finished it in 4 days straight.

We are alike in many ways and but for the most part have a totally opposite upbringing. I learnt a lot about a scene l’m not knowledgeable in but my biggest takeaway was the power of intention, passion , curiosity & timing when approaching life’s challenges.

I felt compelled to share so yeah this is me doing so. It’s hibernating season so feel free to send me some book recs.

Peace by @joeymanzii

some music for those of you who need some sonic relaxation 🤍

been hosting the breakfast show since january 2025.

i enjoy the routine , the intention and planning that goes behind it. some real gems in there for those who’d like to discover and explore.

I’ve been heavily inspired by “ THE CHRONICLES OF DOOM” which I’ve been reading over the last two weeks. A stellar example of an artist who went against the grain and was truly dedicated to the craft. Included a sweet sequence of music from him within the show.
RIP TO THE SUPERVILLAIN !!!

See you tonight 🫶🏾 by @joeymanzii

With just a few days to go until we kick off our canalside dance, we caught up with West London based selector, broadcaster and @elevationmusik founder, @joeymanzii

We got Joey in the mixer for this one based on his seamless ability to embrace and educate the dancefloor with a deep knowledge of all corners of soulfully routed music, and this interview felt like the perfect reflection of that.

We chewed the fat around everything from @djrontrent’s signature sound to Joey witnessing @musclecars.nyc effortlessly tributing Soul II Soul’s cult classic, “Back 2 Life” justice, via a seamless acapella curveball.

Swipe through for track selects and more of the above 👆

Catch him alongside @stickydub, @laurellah @dreymayele, and the Loose Legs residents for nine hours of deep digging, heavy rhythms and everything in between.
