When I think of year 2, I’m not sure one word could ever sum it up. From furnishing our first place together, to one short very tough period, where even apart we still never yelled at each other once, to the amazing new levels that we have reached since. When I look back at this year I can sum it up that I watched someone fight for me in a way I’ve never seen romantically or otherwise. Whereas our first year together was a whirlwind of highs, our second turned into that deepened stage of love you hear the old folks talk about. You looked at me one day in June and said “I will spend the rest of my life showing you that it’s you.” And goddamn have you lived up to that and then some.

Through every long work week, every stressful life event, every family death, every bombshell life attempted to throw at us we stuck together and laughed and loved through it all.

We got engaged, we adventured, we learned, experienced and ate a whole lot. And I’m so damn excited that I get this do the rest of my life.

To my best friend in the whole world, I love you more than a sappy post could ever amount to. And I’m so excited to marry you. I love you pretty baby. by @john.hasemeier

Fastball Comedy Fest was one hell of a time, with one hell of a team I got to be a part of. ( @autumnlucidon & @urbanlensphoto ) Grateful as always, and stacking the wins daily. Two years into this adventure with @uphighllc and it’s only the beginning. Of course the amazing @urbanlensphoto kept the stills held down all weekend. by @john.hasemeier

The best cat in the whole world turns 12 (allegedly) today. It’s crazy that pretty much my entire adult life has been spent with this silly dude by my side. He’s seen every chapter, and even at his age is still playful and hyper as ever, even if gets an extra hour of sleep or so these days. Thankful to still have my best bud going strong and youthful as ever. Happy birthday Fox ✨ by @john.hasemeier

Remembered who I am, now time to remind everyone else.

Turns out, a crucial part of coming out of burnout, is picking my original passion back up. JTH may not be my full time business anymore, as I’m lucky enough to have a creative full time job, but who says it can’t be a place I publish life through my lens, the way I see the world, the obsession I have with sharing my vision.

I’m remembering who I am, and in part, allowing myself to create the art that made me who I am. No pressure, all vision. Let’s show the world how beautiful it is. by @john.hasemeier

My fiance and one of my best friends met up to snap some portraits, so they dragged me out of the house and I decided to capture some vibes. by @john.hasemeier
