3am @cineportraits.ca A cinematic portrait studio in Edmonton. INT. MOTEL ROOM - NIGHT An intense, sulfur-yellow amber light floods the space. Heavy shadows pool in the corners. MALLORY sits reclined deeply in an armchair, completely still. Her fingers trace her lips, lost in a trance of total clarity. There is no hesitation left in her, no doubt. She isn’t hiding from the world; she is waiting for it. MALLORY I see the future... and there's no death. ‘Cause you and I, we're angels. #cineportraits by @johndiepphotography

This video project was scripted in 1 full night, shot in 1 full day, and took 2 years to edit. It was my first project like this, and I learned a lot through making it - including how to shoot video projects in a way that's easier to edit. Much thanks to @yourallfuckedup for contributing her immense talents in front of the camera, and to @northerndepictions for sorting out all the little details and making sure I didn't let the smoke out of anything. I love how this little story turned out, and everything else the experience has enabled as a creative freelancer in Edmonton. I'm glad I started before I was ready. "My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style." -Maya Angelou Fresh headshots for the incredible @hair_by_missqueen as they prepare for @vancouverindigenousfashionweek working with @blyanmedia... so exciting! When you are doing something extraordinary, you need pictures to match. Standard corporate headshots don't capture this kind of magic. If you are ready to bring your true passion and style to your professional brand, let’s shoot.
