This past Saturday I got to do something I never could have imagined. I performed in my first play. Beyond that, I played a significant role in said play. And even beyond that, it was friggin Shakespeare. Over the course of 2 weeks, all of my free time was spent learning lines, doing character study, and researching what the hell I was even trying to say. That script had a permanent place at my bedside table. It was a beautiful, difficult, fun, frustrating, but, most of all, fulfilling experience. I am thankful for @petermir and @jannelyssantos for entrusting me with this despite no formal theater background other than the heart, sweat, and tears I put into making people laugh and feel on the @villaintheater stage week in and week out for the last 11 years. And I am forever thankful to all my cast mates for the extraordinary level of effort they all put in to guarantee this ambitious effort went as perfectly as it could have. Basically, go out and do what you love. You might be surprised what happens.
