POSTS STORIES REELS

this is going to be the hardest thing I’ve ever had to write in my life.

Growing up as an only child I always felt lonely and desperate for a friend. I had no one to play with, and no one to talk to. After begging and pleading my mom for a dog, the universe brought me my soulmate at 9 years old. I’d like to think that she found us, as our story starts with a little white furry dog my mom happened to cross paths with and her last 50 dollars (it’s a story for another day). I now had my best friend.

Having a dog was never easy, since having her as a puppy was basically like raising a toddler. But I learned like any mother would, so my mom and I took the journey together.
through those years, bonita had the strongest fight in her, for life. she overcame having seizures as a puppy, survived having pyometra at 11 years old and recovered to perfect health after a mastectomy from breast cancer. I am blessed to have raised my best friend until she was 17 years old (102 in dog years).

Bonita passed away last night on Earth Day and I’d like to believe that she was returned back to the universe. It was peaceful and she was in my arms. The vet told us that her heart was growing too big. I’d like to think that it’s because we loved her very much and she loved us very much. Bonita got hugs and kisses everyday, even after she took her last breath. She walked through the sequoia national forest, ran on the beaches of mexico, enjoyed car rides, had her quinceañera n sweet 16, celebrated all of my graduations, loved to smell the flowers, sass and judge with a single huff, and take naps with me.

Bonita has the most beautiful, kind, soft heart. She never barked or fussed. She was the most gentle, calm and quiet soul I’ve ever met. if you were ever blessed to have met her, you would instantly know what love is.

this post is gonna be one of the most exciting posts I will ever publish. I met my biggest inspiration. director catherine hardwicke. the creator of my obsession. the reason I love the trees of oregon, the blue dark skies, and the touch of moss. she’s the reason why I have high expectations of true love, fall asleep to bella’s lullaby and watch the film multiple times a year.

she wasn’t the one to write twilight but she created twilight for what it truly was. she’s the heart of the whole franchise. without the first film, the whole series would be nothing it became. with a low budget, a big heart and lots of strength, she created twilight.

I got the chance to meet her and tell her how much she’s changed my life. I went to the pnw because of this film. I listen to the music I do because of this film. I got a tattoo for this film. the comfort this film brings me is beyond any feeling I can explain. but wow what an honor it was for me to tell her how important she is to me and how big the series is because of her and her impact.

@vidiots I love you beyond words !
