Been diving deep into my craft these past few weeks, challenging myself to connect more deeply with character, story, and emotion. I’m currently in an 8-10 week course on character development, scene study, and emotional connection with my acting coach, @toniamjackson and it’s been an incredible journey so far. Growth isn’t always easy, but I’m here for it. Sharing this monologue from Fences, one of my favorite plays by August Wilson, as a reflection of the work I’ve been putting in. Can’t wait to step into the shoes of Cory very, very soon on stage. Big things ahead as I continue to grow, learn, and prepare for college at the American musical and dramatic academy. 🎭 #actorinthemaking #characterdevelopment #fences #augustwilson #SceneStudy #GrowingAsAnArtist #actor #storytelling #doingthework #growth #explore #reels #viralreels #monologuemonday by @jomar_crawford
