It’s been almost a month since Jonaz came to our Deaf World Lecture Series, and we’re still talking about it!

One thing he said keeps coming up in our Center: “Never leave the sandbox, and keep creating.” We’ve been holding onto that one.

Thanks again to Jonaz, and to everyone who came out that night! We will announce our next DWLS very soon; stay tuned! by @jonazmcmillan

📚 CHRONIQUE BD / JEUNESSE 🎨

Le Monstre des mains

Textes : Karen Kane @karenkanebooks & Jonaz McMillan @jonazmcmillan

Dessin & Illustrations : Claire Le Meil @clairelemeil

Éditions : Sens dessus dessous @sens.dessus.dessous.editions ✨

Mon avis :

It was a fun side quest directing episodes 103, 104, and 105 of HOUSE OF THE DRAGON: ASL Edition. Many thanks for trusting me with this work, lead director @justinjackerson. Congratulations on all three seasons!! It was truly an honor working with you, @lxnd4n. You were an exceptional dubber! Your work is a gem. Thank you @hbomax, @lollieke, @houseofthedragonhbo, and @roundaboutent for making this magic possible. Special thanks to Jaden, Ashley, Jack, Brandon, and Yasmin for all your hard work and support. To everyone reading this, enjoy the series in ASL!! by @jonazmcmillan

Happy 2nd Birthday to Monster Hands!! There’s so much I want to say. Just so proud of myself. Today marks the day Monster Hands was born and made its way into bookstores across the nation two years ago. Since then, we’ve received awards and starred reviews. It has also been translated into two new languages. Looking forward to sharing more about that soon.

It was truly a blast creating this with the whole team at @penguinrandomhouse @penguinkids with @karenkanebooks @dionmbd … and everyone else. It continues to be a magical journey. Love you all. by @jonazmcmillan

leaving you a napkin hug today. xoxo #napkinhugs by @jonazmcmillan

We know drama is always better when it’s multilingual and accessible. Season 1 of THE PITT streams in ASL starting December 21, with Season 2 premiering January 8 on @hbomax. Nearly every character has a sign name. @therealnoahwyle can you guess what was assigned to Dr. Robby?

I had the honor of directing 9 episodes in Season 1, working with three exceptional Deaf artists who interpreted the series in ASL @joeycaverly @ameliaxhensley @stephanienogueras. Huge appreciation also to our amazing DP Chris Cornado (not on IG yet!) and his thoughtful, generous team. And a special thank you to @sarahtubert for her touch of magic when she directed 105, 108, 109, 110, 111, and 112.

For those who know me, I live for synchronicities. In May 2025, I attended a fundraiser hosted by @every_day_action where several folks from THE PITT were present. Months later, I was invited to study their work and direct the series in ASL. It felt like a full circle moment.

Thank you @hbomax, @lollieke, and @wbd for exploring this new territory and making this possible. The heart’s full.

Tune in this Sunday and then on January 8! Enjoy! 🤟🏻 by @jonazmcmillan
