No one understands the true pain of losing a childhood pet. Yesterday I had to put my best friend down, as she was suffering with kidney failure. Even though she was suffering she still managed to be positive, wagging her tail and spreading love like always. Anyone who knows me, knows that I cared for Ruby like a mother and looked over her as my child. During these past few years my mental health had become a struggle, and even when I felt as though I had no one, I always remembered I had Ruby. Her warm presence allowed me to overcome my mental health. Even though she is not here physically I do know she will always remain behind me guiding me throughout different chapters in my life. She needed to cross to the rainbow bridge, knowing in future times i will need her on the other side. As heartbreaking and difficult that this past week has been for me, I am happy to see my baby is no longer suffering. All I ever wanted was for Ruby to be pain free and not suffer any longer. I know she will be happy and relieved in doggy heaven. Thank you for saving me when I had no one. I love you always, rest in peace munchkin. ❤️ by @jordan.toneyy
