This weekend I graduated from Harding University with a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering. I will cherish the memories and the friendships that this place brought me. Feeding mouse flies to predator brown trout has been one of the most frustrating but rewarding thing the guys and I have done over the past 2 semesters. The setting looks something like this. Dark nights with dense fog, beaver tails that sound like gunshots, and owls that repeatedly dive bomb a glowing foam mouse fly. But when it happens, it’s electric. Sometimes they audibly blow the fly up and leave you wondering how in the world did that not connect. Sometimes the glow tab is silently pulled underwater awaiting a strip set. But when that line goes tight you quickly remember why you’re still in a boat at 1am. #flyfisharkansas#darksideofthemoon by @marah_davis

An unforgettable day with @jakefloood and my grandpa. We had multiple chances at 17+ inch fish throughout the day. This specimen came out of a log jam where he had plenty of escape options. He was just shy of 21 inches making him a near 20 year old fish. Streamer fishing can be a grind but it sure can pay off.
