91 mil contract & still can’t stop the Rebs by @jordanheuserr
For those who knew Papa, you know there are no words that could ever truly capture a man who lived for 94 years and left such an impact on everyone around him. How lucky am I to have had a great grandad for 21 years of life?? Papa was stubborn and hardheaded, and if you knew him, you know I say that with a smile. He always told it like it was. No matter what I came to him with, I knew I was going to get the truth, whether I wanted to hear it or not. And because of that, I trusted him with everything. One thing that always made me laugh was the way he ended every phone call. He would always say, “I love you,” and before I even had the chance to say it back, he’d hit me with a strong “Bye!” and hang up. Every single time. It never failed to make me smile. He always had to have the last word. My heart will never be the same without him. There is a space in it that only Papa could fill. He truly was my best friend. But even in the heartbreak, I have so much peace knowing that the man who spent his life preaching about Heaven is now home. I can only imagine the joy when he saw Jesus face to face and was reunited with the love of his life again. And while I already miss hearing “I love you” followed immediately by “Bye,” I know this isn’t goodbye forever. One day, by the grace of God, I’ll hear his voice again. I love you too, Papa. 🩷 by @jordanheuserr
