38.

No kids.
Starting over.

And honestly… I’m okay with it.
Maybe life isn’t supposed to happen on the timeline we thought it would.

Here’s to figuring it out as we go. 🤍

FEBRUARY 2024 💔 - - - - - > JUNE 2025 ❤️‍🩹

37, divorced, healed, and finally back home to myself.

There was a time when the word “divorced” felt heavy — like it came with shame, failure, or a label I didn’t ask for. I let that weight pull me away from who I was. I stopped moving my body, turned to binge eating in secret, and lost my sense of self.

For the past 1.5- 2 years, I’ve been doing the slow, hard work of healing — rebuilding my relationship with food, fitness, and most importantly, with myself. I never thought I’d date again, let alone find a man worth trusting. But love has a way of finding you when you finally love yourself.

Along the way, I found new joy — through travel, through living in the moment, and through challenging my body in ways I never imagined I could… like running a half marathon. I’m stronger, more present, and more me than I’ve ever been.

I’ve also been searching for a project that could be mine — a personal outlet where I can show up fully and honestly, without chasing trends or trying to be an influencer. Just real life, real healing, and the freedom to be seen.

It’s scary to be vulnerable… but as we head into a new year, it feels like the right time to share.

This space is for anyone who’s come through the fire — heartbreak, shame, silence, or self-doubt — and is now in their comeback era. If that’s you too, you’re not alone.
We’re not broken. We’re becoming. 💛

Former sprinter turned distance runner. Who would have thought? 😂🏃‍♀️

I did track and field growing up, but I was a sprinter. Short distances, speed, and explosive power. Long-distance running was never something I pictured myself doing.

Fast forward to my 30s, and I decided to give it a try.
I started running ONE MILE A DAY.

I knew I wanted to run a half marathon, but I needed some direction. A friend gave me a PDF training program. Did I know if it was a good program? Not a clue. 😂 I just knew I wanted something to follow and a plan to help me reach my goal.

So I stuck with it.

One mile turned into longer runs, and eventually, I crossed the finish line of my FIRST HALF MARATHON with a SUB-2 finish!

Now, here I am, 71 days out from my SECOND half marathon, still chasing goals and finding new ways to challenge myself.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that you don’t have to be an expert, have the perfect plan, or start in your 20s.

Sometimes you just need a starting point and a goal.
Former sprinter.

Distance runner in my 30s. And I’m just getting started. ❤️

Not every relationship is meant to last forever, but every experience can teach you something.

I’m taking the lessons, keeping my standards, protecting my peace, and continuing to build a life I’m proud of.

Because being independent doesn’t mean you don’t want love. It means you know you can have a beautiful life on your own, and the right person should make it even better. 🤍

38, single, and still the best thing he ever dated… athletically speaking. 🏃‍♀️ 💁🏽‍♀️

38, single, and spending my free time running 7.5 miles for fun. 😂🏃‍♀️

Training for a half marathon + HYROX because apparently I like keeping myself busy. 🤷‍♀️

Just a girl in her 30s building a life she loves, chasing goals, and seeing what she’s capable of. 🤍

Friday run fun 🏃‍♀️✨ Another deload week for me before getting back into the heavier runs next week.

Sometimes the smartest part of training is knowing when to pull back, recover, and let your body catch up. Excited to build the miles back up! 💪🏼

Can we talk about this for a second? 🫶🏼

When fitness is your career, your hobby, your stress relief, your social life, and a huge part of your identity… how do you figure out who you are outside of it?
I love the life I’ve built around fitness, but I also want to explore new things, travel solo, read more, make new connections, and discover parts of myself that have nothing to do with hitting a PR or training for my next race.

Maybe it’s part of getting older. Maybe it’s part of being single. Maybe it’s just realizing there’s more to life than the things you’re good at.

I’m still figuring it out, and I’m learning that I don’t need to have every part of my life figured out at once. 🤍

Fitness girlies, please tell me I’m not the only one who feels this way. Can you relate? 👇🏼

SIS, LET’S GET BACK TO WORK!

Ladies in your 30s, whether you’re single, starting a new chapter, or simply ready to prioritize yourself again, let’s get you back in the gym! ❤️‍🔥

As a trainer, here are 5 tips I’d give any woman getting back into her fitness routine:

🏋🏽‍♀️ 1. START SLOW. Don’t try to make up for lost time in one workout. Start with 2–3 days a week and build consistency.

💪🏽 2. FOCUS ON STRENGTH. Incorporate resistance training to build muscle, improve strength, and support your overall health.

🔥 3. MASTER YOUR FORM. Don’t worry about how much weight someone else is lifting. Learn the movements and focus on proper technique first.

🥗 4. FUEL YOUR BODY. Eat balanced meals, prioritize protein, stay hydrated, and give your body the nutrients it needs to recover.

✨ 5. BE CONSISTENT, NOT PERFECT.You don’t need a perfect workout plan. You need a realistic routine you can stick with.

And sis, remember: getting back into the gym isn’t about punishing yourself for where you’ve been. It’s about investing in where you’re going.

Your 30s can be your strongest chapter yet. Let’s build that strength, confidence, and discipline one workout at a time! ❤️‍🔥

👇🏽 QUESTION FOR THE LADIES:What’s the hardest part about getting back into the gym — staying consistent, knowing what workouts to do, or finding the motivation to start?

Drop it in the comments! Let’s talk. 💬
Save this post for your next gym day!

Another race added to the calendar, and I’m pretty excited about this one. 🏃‍♀️❤️

My last Rock ’n’ Roll Half was such a fun experience, so I’m ready to see what I can do the second time around. The goal is to keep building my running, get stronger, and hopefully surprise myself a little along the way.

The best part is getting to pair this training with something bigger than me by fundraising for St. Jude. ❤️ I’ll share the donation link as soon as I have it!

And because apparently one half marathon wasn’t enough… I’m hoping San Diego in May will be next. 😂

Turns out peace looks pretty damn good on me. Funny what happens when you stop losing yourself trying to make the wrong situation work. 😉
