ÖTILLÖ World Championship 2nd place 🥈 Happy that I once again got the opportunity to race ÖTILLÖ World Championships! This year's race offered rain that made the slippery rocks even more slippery, cold swims, currents, and waves against us. It improved the experience even more. We were more coordinated and pushed harder this year. The sun peeked out just in time for the long run at Ornö. We slipped on the clifs over and over. After 50km, Lena makes a big fall. My first thought was, "Now it's going to be a DNF," but tough as she is, she got up and said, "Let's go!"🙏 I felt strong basically all day. A year ago, I injured my hamstring, and a month ago, I wasn't sure if I would be able to start the race. So it felt fantastic to stand on the podium 🥈 Thank you, Lena, for a memorable and great day ❤️ Thanks to Håkan, Osmon, @idamarika & @nicolasremires for cheering along the course. It means a lot! And thanks to @otillorace for a great event! Congratulations to all participants who made it to the finish line in these tough conditions! 📸@otto_norin @swimrunfrance @martinwikestad & Håkan #otillo #swimrun #evolventcarbonpaddles #swijin #clnathletics by @josefinejangvert
CANNES WEEKEND Memories to carry with you into the winter darkness. Grateful to have such amazing friends. Making the most of every day and squeezing in as many experiences as possible. An evening in Monaco — luxury yachts, the Fairmont Hairpin & Monte Carlo Casino. Swimming among the underwater sculptures at The Coralarium. Chasing waterfalls in the Gorges du Loup More moments like these, please 🌍☀️💙 by @josefinejangvert
ÖTILLÖ World Series Cannes - Season final 33km löpning 7,5km simning One week before race day, an old back injury started giving me trouble. Huge thanks to my naprapath Jimmy and massage therapist Magnus for their professional help in getting me to the start line. The back wasn’t feeling its best, especially after the swims, and I wasn’t able to hold the pace I had hoped for. But sometimes racing is about adapting, pushing through and making the most of the day. And I’m happy that I got to share such a beautiful day in the sunshine with @josefinechristina — and that we made it all the way to the finish line together 😍 The atmosphere on the beach afterwards with the swimrun family made the day even more special. This is what swimrun is all about 🤩 Thank you @otillorace for another great event! 11th place | 5:59h Shoes: @pumanordic & @loplabbet Paddles: @evolventcarbonpaddles #swimrun #Cannes #ötillö by @josefinejangvert
KOSTER SWIMRUN  There’s something special about the start – jumping off the ferry and the feeling of setting off on yet another adventure. A favorite race that just keeps delivering! Will there be an eighth time for me on this race? If so, it’s probably time to start some dedicated training for running over boulders – the course seems to have more rocks every year 😅  Great job to everyone who took on the course 🌊 It was extra special to finish the race on the podium together with friends;  Anna, Henrik, Fredrik and Daniel 🏅 And specially @lorraine_axegard! Strong as ever 💪 A big thank you to @petteralexis & @michaelafrostad for making it possible for us to come back and have this much fun, year after year. First place women's class, at Halmstad Swimrun Sött & Salt. After a tough week, this was exactly what I needed: racing, having fun, and meeting other swimrunners. A fun course with lots of fast transitions. Wind, big waves, heavy rain, and sunshine — all alternating throughout the race. Thank you @halmstadswimrun Shoes from @pumanordic @loplabbet Socks from @liiteguard Paddles from @evolventcarbonpaddles 🙏🙏🙏 #swimrun by @josefinejangvert
For the past five years, I’ve raced the ÖTILLÖ World Championship. I’ve had a lot of people asking if I’ll be racing this year, and the answer is no. I lost the motivation after last year’s race. But this year, I’ve found the joy again and raced more than ever. So it would have been fun to be standing on the start line in Sandhamn. I'll be back next year! And to all my friends racing on Monday: Go hard and have fun 🤩 Congratulations to @otillorace celebrating 20 years! 2021 Staffan Grönwald 2022 Lorraine Axegård  2023-2025 Lena Sjökvist by @josefinejangvert
