Years late in showing these Priceless gifts. Yet Sir Drix Bell’s birth has me reflecting so much.
Hand made by George Aaron Bell Jr, my grandfather. A man’s hand i never shook or neck i never hugged. They hold so much significance to me because he was serving a 25 to life sentence in the California Prison system during the time of creation. #3strikerule This is how we broke the ice of our relationship, through writing each other. God placed timing perfectly for our bond to be sealed because he was up for parole. Instantly knowing that humans loooove “celebrities/athletes” Joshua Bell’s journey became significant. Our family wrote to the Parole Board and he was released after being denied before. During his time served he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer in prison. Got it to go into remission. ✊🏾💪🏾. Blessing to have Cancer treatment in prison🤯! Technological advances blessed me to be able to FaceTime Grandpa George and develop more of a relationship over thousands of miles. His handful of years “outside” before he gave up the ghost im glad we helped him receive. His journey has been a part of me since i was 12 yrs old. I vowed to myself…NEVER BE IN CUFFS & Do The Right Thing. Uncle Swac said it perfectly “To know where you going you gotta know where you been…”My gfather is the oldest Bell i knew. My record of blood stops there. The Bell blood and name lives on. Grandpa George encouraged my spirit and to ALWAYS do the right thing. So as i coach men and raise my family, i will always press men to be better and be more. If I don’t i waste my grandfathers life and time served. Trust we know where we going. If you need direction we can help with the tenacity on your journey. #bellclan #bellbloodline #bcgclique #focused #fightingstatistics #integrity by @josh_bell34
