Josh Suggs saw street interviews blowing up on social media and quit his summer internship to make them for brands, walking 35,000 steps a day around Washington Square Park. He bootstrapped the business by building in public on X and grew it into a 100-plus-person agency doing over 8 figures in revenue. This is the story of @streettalk. by @joshsuggss
Thank you @todayshow and @nbc for coming out. Two years ago I dropped out of college to chase a dream. Now it's manifesting into something bigger than I ever imagined. @streettalk is changing advertising forever and we're just getting started. by @joshsuggss
This 23-year old is making $10M using social media, but he’s not an influencer. @joshsuggss dropped out of college to pursue street interviewing in NYC. His first brand deal was just $1,500 for 30 interviews, and since then he’s built @streettalk. The thing he figured out that most brands still haven’t: the ads that win don’t look like ads. They blend right into the feed. Josh is a member at Hampton, a community for founders doing $3M+ in revenue. If you want to be in a room with founders like him, comment HAMPTON. #founder #entrepreneur #startup #streetinterview by @joshsuggss
$1M+ from X with fewer than 500 followers. Here’s how Josh Suggs did it. He didn’t wait for an audience. He posted every day about the service he was selling, tagged the brands he wanted to work with, and took the meetings that came from their DMs. A Stripe link closed the deal. That’s how Street Talk started. Josh was in special ed, made $250K+ in his first summer at 21, dropped out of college, and moved to New York to build it. Today brands run Street Talk’s street interviews as ads on TikTok, Meta and TV. This week he sat down with our students. What stuck: → Count your wins, not your failures → Once money comes in, your job is recruiting → Don’t be the only driver. Hire and sell at the same time → Give your first happy client a discount to post about you. Business owners follow business owners → As AI floods the feed, real gets more valuable Save this for the day you start. by @joshsuggss
