A story in collage by @joshue.echevarria

Yesterday sat (way too long) with myself. Felt like I was supposed to be doing something with a mix of not wanting to do anything. Hours later after I decided to journal I knew collaging would help.

Did I capture the feeling? Maybe something like it I think. by @joshue.echevarria

Friends came over to collage and this was mine 🤍 by @joshue.echevarria

I was looking through my notes app for something very not-art related and I scrolled too far and found myself reading some 2016 things...the notes app was being USED that year lemme tell you.

Then I wanted to make a little something with one of the entries, stretch those artistic muscles that haven't been used much lately 🤍

For my friend Go's birthday I wanted to make him a card using the song we always sing together, the Charli x Lorde collab, Girl, So Confusing (his songgg) 💚 by @joshue.echevarria

I was journaling for the New Moon in Pisces, drinking my tea, writing down my fantasies, which then promoted me to play Fantasy by Jade and I knew I had to make a collage IMMEDIATELY. It was like an artistic fever dream (also I had taken the smallest amount of an edible but that was the least profound thing about this)

Fishes (for Aaron)

Not Losing My Mind 😵‍💫😵 by @joshue.echevarria

A painting I call Wayne, based on the style of Wayne Thiebaud by @joshue.echevarria

It's hard trying to convey how much time is spent on a painting. What starts as an idea then starts coming to life when you see other work, other pictures that support your idea and reasoning.

The reference images, the editing of those images to what you want the painting to be..all till the actual painting!

It was fun putting together what is months of work into a one minute video, thanks for watching ✨🧑🏽‍🎨

Come tonight 6-9pm at @rosebudgallerysf to see her in person 😈
