Better late than never.

I rarely share my personal accomplishments anymore, but this one genuinely brings a smile to my face.

As someone who has personally dealt with, and been around people who struggle with alcohol and drug addiction, becoming a Substance Use Disorder Registered Counselor means more to me than simply earning a credential. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of someone else’s journey, to help people find their way forward, and to serve a higher purpose through the experiences and lessons life has given me.

If you or someone you love is struggling with Substance Use Disorder, please remember that asking for help is not the end of the road. It can be the beginning of a completely different one. It is never too late to take that first step.

If you need help figuring out where to start, feel free to reach out to me privately. I’m always happy to point someone toward resources, treatment options, or the next right step.

“God, grant me serenity to accept what I cannot change, courage to change what I can, and wisdom to know the difference.”

Faith the size of a mustard seed

Today my daughter was baptized and I wish I had the words to express how I feel.

She was born once into my arms,
and today, she is born again into His.
Baptized in water, embraced by the Spirit,
set apart for a purpose only God fully sees.
