This is a personal story I never thought I’d be sharing—my dad’s sudden hospitalization & the whirlwind that followed. From sleepless nights in the ICU to a hospital bill that could make anyone’s jaw drop, esp coming from an average family like us.

But here’s the thing: amidst the chaos, there was a sense of relief—simply because we had planned ahead. Ironically, just like many of you, I used to think insurance was probably fake. That was until my husband joined the industry 8 years back & provided me clarity. Insurance stepped in when we needed it most, & my family could focus on what truly mattered: being there for my dad.

This post isn’t just about sharing numbers/stories — it’s a reminder that literally anything can happen, & having a safety net is priceless. It defo hits differently for me as a financial consultant. It wasn’t just numbers on paper anymore—it was real. And it’s a powerful reminder of why I do what I do—to help others prepare for the unexpected becos life is just so unpredictable.

If you’ve ever thought, “I don’t know where to start,” or have questions you’ve never dared to ask, talk to us. We’re not here just to sell you anything; we’re here to provide you a peace of mind.

This bugger, also known as our very precious & fragile 小baby in the family - My siodi & the one who’s always there for me.

Oh so precious bcos his legs (not amputated just drilled & screwed) costed more than $35k. In case i prolly look way too atas to remind you of my typical below-average fam background, + a typical SGP fathermader who didn’t believe in insurance. (Thank god i didn’t have to sell my parents’ organs on the black market)

Backtracked to 4 years ago, my 小baby decided that the sun is bright like my future & sky is beautiful like his sisters, booked a RANDOM badminton session with his friends & came home with an unknown injury that didn’t rly hurt. As typical as it is, “Salon Pas” was our doctor/saviour whenever it acts up bcos ain’t nobody got the moolah to go for scans/checks (Siao meh few hundreds sia). A year past & we finally decided to bring him for a simple check. Gg.com.siaoliao, was told to send him for an operation as soon as we can in case it snaps since it was completely torn. (all those chim ligaments/ACL la)

Thankfully, my ex-bf (now my fiancé heh) who ordered his courage from taobao 7 years ago when he joined the industry, approached my laobehlaobu & got our backside(s) covered. We were able to keep my parents’ organs & fixed his legs at $0. (Gamxia Prudential, gamxia Guanyinma)

$35k+ bill, it could easily be a manageable sum for many families but nope, not to us. Haven’t been sharing much but this is one of the main reasons why i decided to abort mission in my years of corporate jobs to take the leap of faith & work alongside with my Boss Wu. This, is my very own “why” & i hope you tio 4D every week to get your backsides covered till the end of time. If not, do yourself a favour & get yourself protected. Your organs & future self will be thankful for starting early like my 小baby today :’) by @jowerllyeo

Day 1 of celebrating our bride-to-be! ◡̈

A whole day of laughter, chaos & SO MUCH love just for you, Jas! So glad we get to be part of this chapter with you & make these core memories before the big day 🤍 @jasstannn by @jowerllyeo

Excellence becomes effortless when it’s backed by genuine care. 🌱 Congratulations @jowerllyeo for attaining Quality Club Elite! You show up with professionalism, empathy, and consistency, and it truly sets you apart. 👏 by @jowerllyeo

CrossFit, they said. It’ll be fun, they said. 💀

Monthly bonding today had us cycling, lifting, & desperately trying to rmbr how to breathe. Pretty sure we spent half the time laughing just to distract us from the pain (10/10 effective). But hey, we suffered together— and that’s what teamwork is all about! ◡̈

Left our legs and soul at Revl, now accepting applications for someone to carry us to work for a week. Must have strong arms & zero judgment.

Cheers to mid-day drinks, my forever partner in crime who always shows up (for work & happyhours)! Here’s to neverending growth tgt! 💜 by @jowerllyeo

Our favourite day of every month — #Team缘’s Bonding Day! Thoughtfully organized by our dear bosses, 阿Nic & 阿Rong, who always make time for us despite their busy schedules. Such a beautiful reminder that in this challenging yet rewarding career, we work hard and play even harder!!

This time, we’re back at the restaurant where we gathered two years ago for our xmas party, now with even more faces in our ever-growing fam. Just like the name “同心如意”suggests, may our hearts and minds unite for endless achievements together! HIP HIP HURRAY 💞✨

Say real, i’m fortunate to be part of a team that values not just success, but GROWTH bcos that’s what truly matters. Proud to say that I’m happier and better than I used to be. If you’re ready to grow with us, achieve great things, and HAVE FUN (lots of it) along the way, think no more and be part of the fam! 来来来!

Day 4 of our Perth trip & we had an unforgettable time w/ the commando-houseflies trying its best to chiong into our nostrils & ears every single second.

This was definitely one of the trip’s highlights. Think i’ve swallowed approx. 8.88g of sand & dabaoed it back home thru my ear canals & hair :’)

So glad we decided to do this together despite our overambitious plannings. Here’s to clocking more core memories with the best crew ever! Grateful for all of you, always! ◡̈
