Any chance I have to leave my vocal cords on stage, I’m taking! I’ve been singing this song since I was 5 - I’m finally the right age 😂 So fun to perform alongside my friends in Come From Away for this benefit at @mainestreetogt. Thx to @ogunquitplayhouse, @groissed_out @jayradlee @mondokit. Happy Pride 🌈 by @joyhermalyn

Hey Isabelle & Sol Hermalyn of the Bronx! Happy anniversary you two shining lights - that one sip of wine got you laughing hysterically into eternity😂🍷! This is who you will always be for me. Miss you both endlessly in the small & tough & thrilling & loud moments, but definitely hear your voices & celebrate life! Thanks for my existence. XO JJ by @joyhermalyn

A wonderful time with talented women at the NAMT Festival! New musicals are flourishing, support creatives & get out there! Kate Messner, Haley Bennett & Amy Anders Corcoran are creating a gorgeous musical for the desert of YA ‘Broadway’ content & I am thrilled to witness & participate. (Ummm. Look them up kids..!)
Amazing to hug & see my Yalies Nicole Tam & Serena Feniger working & thriving in theatre & to hug some icons I’ve laughed with & changed clothes with @alexjwyse @christopher_sieber @nathan_salstone @huzdatgirl @johneljor 💕

Just exhilarating to be surrounded by new works & so much talent from young to Meeeeee not-the-youngest-anymore! 👵🏻 😂 🎭🎶 by @joyhermalyn

The gift of having a birthday. 🎂 Blurry, smiling, crown on straight, looking forward, planning, giving & living. I’m the same as my little girl & I hope I always will be through it all. Hug yourselves from me. 🤗 ❤️💋 by @joyhermalyn

There is nothing to compare with the overwhelming pride & joy of watching students thrive in this world, in the theatre, in life. 🤗 Huge love to @victoria.pekel on her outstanding Bway debut in this absolutely fabulous play! 🤩 So many of my Yale students past & present came to support & I got to scream & hug seeing them all! Great to be with my Maxine, Juliann & Madi as they watched me cry, kvell & cheer! ❤️ Go to the theatre! 🎭 by @joyhermalyn

I don’t have all the words yet. I am one of so many heartbroken friends & colleagues you blessed. My family will forever say your name Diane & will hold up DJ & my HCKR family at this impossible time.💔 by @joyhermalyn

I started teaching at Kean University in 2004 (or 5?) & it has shaped my entire life. I am still in touch with so many students of the last 22 years & nothing makes me happier. We have come a long way from those early days & our students are successful thoughtful incredible talented people.
Do what you love. ❤️ by @joyhermalyn

Some stories remind us just how good people can be. Come From Away is one of them.
This exhilarating, deeply moving musical tells the remarkable true story of a small Newfoundland town that welcomed thousands of stranded travelers with open arms. Through soaring music, humor and unforgettable characters, it celebrates kindness, friendship and the powerful connections that can form between strangers.
You’ll laugh, you’ll be moved and you’ll leave the theater feeling hopeful about humanity. That is what makes Come From Away a must-see.
Experience this extraordinary musical September 11 through October 4 at Bell Theater inside Bell Works in Holmdel, NJ. Purchase your tickets today:
