I wrote Jiggle Jaggle with the great @johnellismusic in mind. His solo on this tune blows me away and the rhythm section is cooking! Full video out on YouTube. by @jschonig

@alexgoodmanmusic is an absolute monster. His ridiculous playing is all over my new record Big Band: Live At Dizzys. I love what he brings to the band and the way the incredible rhythm section (@davidcook88 & @mattclohesy ) plays together! So many awesome moments with these cats! by @jschonig

Incredible @terellstafford solo on Canyons by @jschonig and @its_adamneely
Up for a couple Grammy noms - voting this week
🙏 by @jschonig

Please consider my new record for a Grammy or two (or three???). I poured my heart and soul into this live record and am thrilled with everything about it, from the sound to the band to the artwork and everything in between. Thanks to everyone who made this happen, and thanks to you for your consideration. by @jschonig

Bucket list gig at @royalalberthall with my brother @aarontveit on Tuesday night. Extremely proud of him and to be in his camp and see him shine on such an iconic stage. Great band led by the incredible @bftpny with some awesome Brits @hughrichardson @magscello @kamila.bydlowska and American badass @somuchsound also beautiful cameo from @rickyrojas1272
Last slide is some Soundcheck groove taken by 👑 @erickahunter
What a night. by @jschonig

The lone trombone solo on my new record is by the incredible @ryankeberle ! He turns this difficult odd meter vamp into an interactive tour de force of a solo. The full video of this incredible @mihohazama arrangement of “Sound Evidence” is up now on YouTube as well! by @jschonig

Had to put this on the grid! First couple of gigs with @chuckowen54 and the Jazz Surge are complete! Had a blast playing with the absolute legend @randybrecker
2nd slide is us going at it!
Enjoy! by @jschonig

New video alert! The incredible @nicolezmusic brought the house down at Dizzys with her incredible performance on Canyons written by myself and the great @its_adamneely . @mihohazama wrote a brilliant chart on this and it is by far and away one of my favorite performances I’ve ever been a part of. Here’s 60 seconds of the out head with Nicole! by @jschonig

Lots of fun fall dates coming up with @the8bitbigband @aarontveit @mslachanze @tonykadleck @summercamargomusic @chuckowen54 by @jschonig

@davidcook88 is an integral member of my musical projects. His playing on “NUTS” is an exercise in trio exploration with the great @mattclohesy! This two minute solo is some of my favorite playing on my new record. In addition to his incredible soloing, I’ll be spotlighting his incredible accompaniment and comping on other moments throughout this record. I remember telling him after I heard this back for the first time it sounded like Fred Hersch meets Kenny Kirkland (also two of my favorite pianists)! by @jschonig

First video from my new album is up! I wanted to feature a 60ish second of my lead alto saxophonist @andrew_gould ! Andrew’s signature alto and soprano sound is all over my record, helping to lead and shape the band from the front. His incredible solo on NUTS is one of my favorites! Link to the full video on YouTube in my bio. Please like and subscribe!!!! 😜 by @jschonig

Here’s 60 seconds of my #drumcam with the @the8bitbigband this past weekend at the @pokemon World Championships/XP in San Francisco. This was the opening ceremony arranged by @crosenmusic and @insaneintherainmusic by @jschonig
