SoCal Filipinos brought the community together at AMC The Grove for a screening of Forgotten Island, giving families, friends, and barkada the chance to experience this Filipino story on the big screen together.

The energy in the theatre was a reminder of what we can do when we show up for our own stories. Thank you to everyone who came out, shared the experience, and helped fill those seats.

And a special thank you to our sponsors SEQ Tax, Cousin, JSL Reflections, Cafe 86 and Anna Marie Simpliciano for making this free screening possible for the community.

This is what community looks like. This is what showing up for Filipino stories looks like. 🇵🇭❤️

There’s something special about seeing all the hard work, discipline, and dedication behind the performances and then getting to capture these incredible dancers simply letting loose and having FUN. ✨

From the stunning costumes to the amazing energy they brought in front of our camera, the dancers of Taoli World Dance Competition were unforgettable. ❤️

After all that hard work, they deserved a moment to dance, laugh, pose, and make some memories of their own. by @jsl.reflections
