Animation, Illustration and Concept Artist Based in the UK. Here’s my card

POSTS STORIES REELS

During the lockdown as part of my professional practices module at uni, I was a pre-production trainee with a team of artists on an animated short film called Treasure directed by my teacher at the time @sammooreanimate . I was tasked with creating concept art for the seasonal looks for the farmlands in Shropshire and the Bronze Age settings. It was a really insightful experience working on a commission/funded short film I hope we all did the film justice and I’m forever grateful and thankful to be a part of it.

You can check out the film Treasure on Vimeo right now via @sammooreanimate , typing in treasure on Vimeo , the link in my Bio or via the Shrewsbury museum and art gallery as part of the Treasure Exhibition

In an urban society, everything connects. Each person’s needs are fed by the skills of many others. Our lives are woven together in a fabric. But the connections that make society strong also make it vulnerable.

My centrepiece for @newanimalsmcr RADIOACTIVE

MEET THE ANIMALS

@jswcreative10

Joshua Wright is a passionate illustrator, animator, and 2D artist from Manchester, inspired by gothic horror, psychedelia, animation, and pin-up art. Influenced by artists like Ralph Steadman and Junji Ito, he embraces raw, imperfect creativity... smudges, splatters, and all.

A Master’s graduate in animation from MMU, Josh has worked on diverse projects, including a hand-drawn music video for Mercury Machine, VR simulations, gig visuals, tattoo designs, and more. He believes practice fuels growth, urging artists to step out of their comfort zones.

3 weeks til we see his work live! by @jswcreative10

The hottest @newanimalsmcr on record 😎🥵 and my god they delivered again

Got all cartoony this time round to lighten the mood on this crazy year and with the animation loops I made for the band @mercurymachine. Gone down a storm and it’s a good time all round. Absolutely buzzin once again

Get well soon Lee ✌️

MEET THE CREW

@jswcreative10

Bringing Josh back to exhibit is always special, as an animator he not only brings physical work, he displays his digital animations too.

Come and see this absolute gent's work live next Friday @thegraftonmanchester 😎 by @jswcreative10

@tom_roberts_2d_animator put out an ad on his instagram a while back asking for help in the creation for his ongoing passion project @the_feared_5_cartoon. Upon seeing i thought I’d lend a hand for creating the concept art. After a brief chat he gave me a shot and asked me to put each of his characters in The Feared 5 in the Florida Everglades. After much research and delays, here’s they are and I’m so thankful for tom giving me the opportunity and I had so much fun creating these. To make these I used a mixture of watercolour, acrylic pens, poscas and calligraphy pens. Here’s to The Feared 5 🤘
