A chance encounter at the A.V Blount Jr. Student Health Center on the campus of North Carolina A&T State University led to the meeting of Lenn C. McLaughlin Jr. and Khari J. Harriday. Upon introduction they learned of each other’s mutual interest in helping others. Lenn became a powerful mentor for Khari and in an instant, a strong connection was formed. Using their shared profound passion for empowering youth and fostering positive change, Lenn and Khari formulated the idea of a non profit mentoring organization. In February 2023, they began developing the idea of Just Thirty Minutes Mentoring. Lenn C. McLaughlin Jr. is a visionary leader dedicated to empowering youth and fostering positive change. Raised in Greensboro, North Carolina, Lenn's journey led him to a Bachelor of Science Degree from North Carolina Central University in 1986. As a US Army Veteran, member of Giblem Lodge #2 Free And Accepted Masons PHA, and member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated, Lenn's commitment to community and mentorship is unwavering. With 26 years as a Probation Officer for the State of North Carolina, Lenn's dedication to criminal justice reform is evident. He's a certified practitioner of Cognitive Behavioral Intervention, reflecting his belief in rehabilitation. Lenn C. McLaughlin Jr.'s legacy is one of dedication, resilience, and unwavering belief in the potential of every young individual. As the Founder and CEO of Just Thirty Minutes Mentoring, his vision continues to inspire and uplift, creating a legacy of positive change in the lives of our youth. Khari J. Harriday, a sophomore Kinesiology student at North Carolina A&T State University, brings his commitment to community and mentorship from Waldorf, Maryland. Guided by a basketball coach who valued character development, Khari learned the importance of being a well-rounded individual beyond the court. Fueled by his passion for making a positive impact, Khari dedicated over 400 community service hours during high school, with a strong focus on empowering youth. Through Just Thirty Minutes Mentoring it is his desire to uplift young minds and help them develop into confident, capable individuals. by @jtm.mentoring
